Castro, Paraná
Castro is a municipality in the state of Paraná in the Southern Region of Brazil. In 2020 it had a population of 71,809 people. The main road running through the town is the PR-151 road. Economy Castrolanda is a colony that was founded by Dutch immigrants between 1951 and 1954. Testament to this there is a windmill in Castro. Its economy is based on agricultural production and dairy farming which is one of the most important in this region that is considered the largest dairy in Brazil due to their genetic quality. It has a considerable production of grain, mostly soy and beans. Also having one of the largest agricultural cooperatives in Brazil, which bears the name of the colony. Southern Region, Brazil
The South Region of Brazil (; ) is one of the five regions of Brazil. It includes the states of Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, and Santa Catarina, and covers , being the smallest region of the country, occupying only about 6.76% of the territory of Brazil. The Human Development Index (HDI) is a statistic composite index of life expectancy, education (mean years of schooling completed and expected years of schooling upon entering the education system), and per capita income indicators, which is used to rank countries into four tiers of human development. Paraná (state)

Castrolanda
Castrolanda is a village and cooperative in the municipality of Castro in the Brazilian state of Paraná. Castrolanda is a colony that was founded by Dutch immigrants in November 1951. History The Dutch colonists led by Jan de Jager, Geert Leffers and Feike Dijkstra acquired of land along the Iapó River from the city of Castro, and founded Castrolanda as an agriculture cooperative. In September 1952, 50 families and 61 cows boarded the ''MS Alioth'' in Rotterdam to establish a new colony in Brazil. Castrolanda has a 26 metres high windmill which was built in 2001 at the 50th anniversary of the colony. It is modelled after the windmill in Woldzigt and is able to mill. It is not only a tourist attraction, but also serves as a community centre with a library. The village also has historical museum. Aimée de Heeren, born Aimée Soto-Maior de Sá or Aimée de Sotomayor (3 August 1903 – 13 September 2006) was a Brazilian socialite and secret service agent keeping Getulio Vargas away from a WW2 alliance with Nazi Germany. She was named to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1996. She was the sister of Vera de Sá Sottomaior, who had been married to John Felix Charles "Ivor" Bryce, Randal Plunkett, 19th Baron of Dunsany and Sir Walter Frederic Pretyman.
