Cassie Jaye (born May 1, 1986) is an American film director, best known for directing the 2016 Documentary film, documentary film ''The Red Pill'' about the men's rights movement. Early life and work Jaye was born in Fort Sill, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, United States, to Nena Jaye. Her parents divorced when she was aged six, and when she was 14 Jaye moved to Las Vegas where she attended Palo Verde High School. At age eighteen, she moved to Los Angeles, where she was an Actor, actress for five years before moving to Marin County, California in 2008. Jaye disliked the Stereotype, stereotypical roles she was cast in, which she described as "cute girl-next-door who always died in horror films." Castro Theatre
The Castro Theatre is a historic movie palace in San Francisco that became San Francisco Historic Landmark #100 in September 1976. Located at 429 Castro Street in the Castro District, it was built in 1922 with a California Churrigueresque façade that pays homage—in its great arched central window surmounted by a scrolling pediment framing a niche—to the basilica of Mission Dolores nearby. Its designer, Timothy L. Pflueger, also designed Oakland's Paramount Theater and other movie theaters in California during that period. The theater has over 1,400 seats (approx 800 downstairs and 600 in the balcony). The theater's ceiling is the last known leatherette ceiling in the United States and possibly the world. California Proposition 8 (2008)
Proposition 8, known informally as Prop 8, was a California ballot proposition and a state constitutional amendment intended to ban same-sex marriage; it passed in the November 2008 California state elections and was later overturned in court. The proposition was created by opponents of same-sex marriage in advance of the California Supreme Court's May 2008 appeal ruling, ''In re Marriage Cases'', which followed the short-lived 2004 same-sex weddings controversy and found the previous ban on same-sex marriage ( Proposition 22, 2000) unconstitutional.
