''Cartesian Dreams'' is the seventh studio album by the rock band House of Lords. It was released on September 18, 2009 in Europe and October 13, 2009 in the US. The album features the same line-up as the previous albums ''World Upside Down'' and ''Come to My Kingdom'', except new bassist Matt McKenna, and was produced by singer James Christian and Jeff Kent with Tommy Denander as co producer on a couple of songs he co wrote. House Of Lords (band)
House of Lords is an American rock band based out of Connecticut, with members in New Jersey and Florida. History House of Lords was formed in 1987 by former Angel member and keyboardist Gregg Giuffria following his solo project Giuffria. After listening to demos – originally intended for Giuffria's third record – a record deal with Gene Simmons' company Simmons Records was agreed upon, on two conditions: to change the band's name (to House of Lords) and to recruiter a new lead singer (firing David Glen Eisley in the process). James Christian replaced Eisley. Christian was suggested by ex-Giuffria and Quiet Riot bassist Chuck Wright, after having worked together in L.A. Rocks. House of Lords' eponymous debut was released in 1988, featuring a heavier sound than Giuffria’s and less prominent keyboards. World Upside Down
''World Upside Down'' is the fifth studio album (second since the reunion), by House of Lords, released on May 23, 2006. The album features founding member James Christian once again with an all-new line-up, as he is the only one of the original members left on the line-up. Still, founding member Gregg Giuffria, who was not reunited with the original line-up for the 2004 album ''The Power and the Myth'', is featured on the album as a guest keyboardist. However this has been disputed by Jeff Kent, who claimed on his website that he played all the keyboards on the album after Giuffria got cold feet about playing. Collaborator and producer Jeff Kent played bass and keyboards on the album, as the band was without a bassist at the time. Jeffrey Franklin Kent (born March 7, 1968) is an American former professional baseball second baseman. He played 17 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1992–2008 for the Toronto Blue Jays, New York Mets, Cleveland Indians, San Francisco Giants, Houston Astros, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Matt McKenna
Matt McKenna (born August 19, 1975) is an American touring rock bassist known for his work with Jude Cole, Swirl 360, Ultrapull, Jetliner, and House of Lords. An American of Scottish descent, he spends much of his off-time in the UK. Jude Cole In 1997, Matt received a call from WB/Reprise artist Jude Cole to join his newly formed project "Watertown" featuring Jude on vocals/guitars and Michael Lawrence on drums. The band began rehearsals in the fall of 1997, but dissolved the next year as Jude decided to focus more on producing other artists. Swirl 360 In 2001, Matt began working with the pop/rock group Swirl 360 and working on new songs for the film "Van Wilder". Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
