Matt McKenna
Matt McKenna (born August 19, 1975) is an American touring rock bassist known for his work with Jude Cole, Swirl 360, Ultrapull, Jetliner, and House of Lords. An American of Scottish descent, he spends much of his off-time in the UK. Jude Cole In 1997, Matt received a call from WB/Reprise artist Jude Cole to join his newly formed project "Watertown" featuring Jude on vocals/guitars and Michael Lawrence on drums. The band began rehearsals in the fall of 1997, but dissolved the next year as Jude decided to focus more on producing other artists. Swirl 360 In 2001, Matt began working with the pop/rock group Swirl 360 and working on new songs for the film "Van Wilder". In August they performed for Hollywood as part of the International Pop Overthrow. Later that year, Matt parted ways with the group. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. In the late 1960s, bands such as Blue Cheer, the Jeff Beck Group, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, Golden Earring, Steppenwolf and Deep Purple also produced hard rock. The genre developed into a major form of popular music in the 1970s, with the Who, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple being joined by Queen, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Kiss, and Van Halen. Jude Cole
Jude Anthony Cole (born June 18, 1960) is an American singer, songwriter, manager, and record producer. After signing to Reprise Records, Cole's solo career began with his eponymous debut studio album in 1987, which was followed up 4 subsequent releases until 2000. From then, he outsourced his talent onto managing, producing, and co-writing for the band Lifehouse, whom Cole took under his wing. He is the co-founder of the Ironworks music label alongside actor Kiefer Sutherland. Career After spending two years as guitarist and backing vocalist for Moon Martin and The Ravens (Capitol Records), Cole joined UK-based band The Records for the '' Crashes'' album in 1980. However, Cole remained in the US when the band returned to Britain to pursue his career as a solo artist. Swirl 360
Swirl 360 is an alternative rock, alternative pop band founded by twins Denny and Kenny Scott. Biography In 1996, twin brothers Denny and Kenny Scott, formerly called Fools of Faith and before that Dream in Color, recorded a set of Demo (music), demos in Jacksonville, Florida, Jacksonville Beach, Fla. The Scott Brothers brought these recordings to Austin, Texas, Austin's South by Southwest, SXSW (South by Southwest) music conference, where they met Los Angeles-based music attorney Christopher Sabec, who at that time managed Hanson (band), Hanson and Dave Matthews. Sabec signed the duo, re-christened Swirl 360, to Mercury Records, Mercury. The resulting debut, ''Ask Anybody'', was released in mid-1998, and the track "Hey, Now Now," co-written with John Shanks, became a top 5 hit on radio airwaves worldwide. House of Lords is an American rock band based out of Connecticut, with members in New Jersey and Florida. History House of Lords was formed in 1987 by former Angel member and keyboardist Gregg Giuffria following his solo project Giuffria. After listening to demos – originally intended for Giuffria's third record – a record deal with Gene Simmons' company Simmons Records was agreed upon, on two conditions: to change the band's name (to House of Lords) and to recruiter a new lead singer (firing David Glen Eisley in the process). James Christian replaced Eisley. Christian was suggested by ex-Giuffria and Quiet Riot bassist Chuck Wright, after having worked together in L.A. Rocks. House of Lords' eponymous debut was released in 1988, featuring a heavier sound than Giuffria’s and less prominent keyboards.
