Carol Vorderman
Carol Jean Vorderman, HonFIET (born 24 December 1960) is a Welsh media personality, best known for appearing on the game show ''Countdown'' for 26 years from 1982 until 2008, as a newspaper columnist and nominal author of educational and diet books, and hosting the annual Pride of Britain awards. Vorderman's career began in 1982 when she joined Channel 4 game show ''Countdown''. She appeared on the show with Richard Whiteley from 1982 until his death in 2005, and subsequently with Des Lynam and Des O'Connor, before leaving in 2008. While appearing on ''Countdown'', Vorderman began presenting other shows for various broadcasters including ''Better Homes'' and '' The Pride of Britain Awards'' for ITV, as well as guest hosting shows such as '' Have I Got News for You'', ''The Sunday Night Project'' and ''Lorraine''. Lorraine (TV Programme)
''Lorraine'' is a British breakfast television programme that is broadcast on ITV. Launched on 6 September 2010, it is presented by Lorraine Kelly and broadcasts live every weekday from 9:00am to 10:00am. The programme features a variety of showbiz, fashion, health, food, celebrity interviews and competitions. The programme's run-time crosses the 9.25am ending of the official ITV Breakfast slot (6am-9.25am), which is wholly owned by ITV plc. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. It was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V and comprises five classes across both civil and military divisions, the most senior two of which make the recipient either a knight if male or dame if female. Des O'Connor
Desmond Bernard O'Connor (12 January 1932 – 14 November 2020) was an English comedian, singer and television presenter. He was a long-time TV chat-show host, beginning with ''The Des O'Connor Show'' in 1963, which ran for ten years. He also presented several U.K. television game shows, including ''Take Your Pick!'' from 1992 to 1999, and the long-running Channel 4 game show ''Countdown'' for two years between 2007 and 2008. ''Family Fortunes'' is a British television game show based on the American game show ''Family Feud''. The programme ran on ITV from 6 January 1980 to 30 December 2002. A celebrity version, ''All Star Family Fortunes'', followed from 2006 to 2015. In 2020, the original version of the show returned after 18 years with Gino D'Acampo as host. The game involves two families providing answers to 'everyday questions' that were surveyed by 100 members of the British public before the show (e.g., 'Name something usually done in the dark.') to win cash prizes (and sometimes mystery prizes for giving a correct answer). Prestatyn is a seaside town and community in Denbighshire, Wales. Historically a part of Flintshire, it is located on the Irish Sea coast, to the east of Rhyl.
