Carlo Monni
Carlo Monni (23 October 1943 – 19 May 2013) was an Italian film, television and stage actor. Born in Campi Bisenzio, Florence, Monni started his artistic activity in early seventies, as an actor in the Tuscan vernacular comic theater. After having played some minor roles in a number of low-budget films, the popularity came in the second half of 1970s, as the sidekick of his real life friend Roberto Benigni in a series of successful stage works, TV-programs, and then films (''Berlinguer, I Love You'', '' Seeking Asylum'', ''Tu mi turbi'', ''Nothing Left to Do But Cry ''Non ci resta che piangere'' (in the U.S. is also known as ''Nothing Left to Do But Cry'') it is a 1984 film written, directed and starring Roberto Benigni and Massimo Troisi. Campi Bisenzio
Campi Bisenzio is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Florence in the Italian region Tuscany, located about northwest of Florence. History The word Campi in the municipality's name stems from the fields which are widespread in the lands around the town. The current name of Campi Bisenzio was assumed only in 1862, with the addition of the name of the Bisenzio river that runs through the town. Roberto Benigni
Roberto Remigio Benigni (; born 27 October 1952) is an Italian actor, comedian, screenwriter and director. He gained international recognition for writing, directing and starring in the Holocaust comedy-drama film ''Life Is Beautiful'' (1997), for which he received the Academy Awards for Best Actor (the first for a non-English speaking male performance) and Best International Feature Film. Benigni made his acting debut in 1977's ''Berlinguer, I Love You'', which he also wrote, and which was directed by Giuseppe Bertolucci.
