Cape Noshappu ( / Noshappu-misaki) is a cape near Cape Sōya in the north of Hokkaido island, Japan and located in Wakkanai, Sōya Subprefecture. Facing Sōya strait, it separates Sea of Japan and Sōya Bay. The Sea of Japan is the marginal sea between the Japanese archipelago, Sakhalin, the Korean Peninsula, and the mainland of the Russian Far East. Cape Sōya
is the northernmost point of the island of Hokkaidō, Japan. It is situated in Wakkanai, Sōya Subprefecture. Wakkanai Lighthouse
is a lighthouse in the city of Wakkanai, Hokkaidō, Japan. Rising to a height of , it is the tallest lighthouse on the island and the second tallest in Japan, after in Izumo. The old Wakkanai Lighthouse was built in 1900 in the hills above, but was forced to relocate after the area was taken over for a US base, the site now occupied by a JGSDF radar station. Rishiri Island
is a high island in the Sea of Japan off the coast of Hokkaido, Japan. Administratively the island is part of Hokkaido Prefecture, and is divided between two towns, Rishiri and Rishirifuji. The island is formed by the cone-shaped extinct volcanic peak of Mount Rishiri.
