Canon EF-S 17–85mm Lens
The Canon EF-S 17–85mm 4–5.6 IS USM is a standard zoom lens for Canon digital single-lens reflex cameras with an EF-S lens mount and image stabilization. The EF-S designation means it can only be used on EOS cameras with an APS-C sensor released after 2003. The field of view has a 35 mm equivalent focal length of 27.2–136mm, and it is roughly equivalent to the Canon EF 28-135mm lens on a 35mm film SLR. Despite the word "macro" being present on the lens body (as visible in the infobox image), this lens is not capable of true 1:1 macro photography. Canon EOS 30D
The Canon EOS 30D is an 8.2-megapixel semi-professional digital single-lens reflex camera, initially announced on February 21, 2006. It is the successor of the Canon EOS 20D, and is succeeded by the EOS 40D. It can accept EF and EF-S lenses, and like its predecessor, it uses an APS-C sized image sensor, so it does not require the larger imaging circle necessary for 35 mm film and 'full-frame' digital cameras. Improvements Changes over the 20D include a bigger LCD rear screen, improved shutter mechanism rated for 100,000 actuations, improved frame capacity, 1/3 stop increments for sensor speed and an added spot meter. This unit retains the same sensor as its predecessor; all lenses still have an angle of view crop of 1.6. Canon EF 28–135mm Lens
The Canon EF 28–135 3.5–5.6 IS USM is a "standard" zoom lens that was introduced in February, 1998. The lens has a 4.82x zoom range and is based on the EF Lens Mount and works with all film and digital EOS cameras that support this mount. The lens features 2nd-generation image stabilization (IS) technology, ring-type USM with full-time manual focusing and a non-rotating front element, however the barrel does extend with zooming. The lens uses a six-blade aperture, and contains a single aspherical (molded, not ground) lens. Closest focusing distance is approximately 50 cm (19.2 inches). The lens is generally considered a mid-range performer, with a good value to performance ratio that makes it popular as either a starter lens or an upgrade from lower quality lenses often purchased with a camera body. The Canon EOS 60D is an 18.1 megapixels semi-pro digital single-lens reflex camera made by Canon. It was announced on August 26, 2010, with a suggested retail price of US$1099.00. The Canon EOS 40D is a 10.1-megapixel semi-professional digital single-lens reflex camera. It was initially announced on 20 August 2007 and was released at the end of that month. It is the successor of the Canon EOS 30D, and is succeeded by the EOS 50D. It can accept EF and EF-S lenses. Like its predecessor, it uses an APS-C sized image sensor, resulting in a 1.6x field of view crop factor. Improvements Changes over the 30D include a higher-resolution sensor (10.1 megapixel instead of 8.2). The sensor also has better noise control than previous models.
