CANO, a Canadian progressive rock band of the 1970s and 1980s, was the most successful popular musical group in Franco-Ontarian history. Origins CANO evolved out of the ''Coopérative des artistes du Nouvel-Ontario'' (''Artists' Cooperative of Northern Ontario''), an artists' collective established in Sudbury, Ontario in 1970.Kuzyk, Jane. Armstrong, Ontario
Armstrong ( 2016 Population 1,166) is a township in the Timiskaming District of Ontario. The only population centre in the township is the community of Earlton. The township is named after Samuel Armstrong, an Independent member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario for Parry Sound from 1886 to 1890. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000.
