The arena is owned and operated by Canlan Ice Sports Corporation, of Burnaby, British Columbia. Canlan Ice Sports Corporation is a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange with the call letters ICE. The arena is home to The Toronto Marlboros Minor Hockey Organization, a member of the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL). Etobicoke (, ) is an administrative district of, and one of six municipalities amalgamated into, the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL), formerly known as the Metro Toronto Hockey League, is a minor level ice hockey organization based in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario. The league was founded in 1911 as the Beaches Hockey League by Fred C. Waghorne, Sr., and it is the largest minor hockey organization in the world. Dixie Beehives (2005–11)
Dixie Beehives are a pair of defunct junior ice hockey teams from Weston, Ontario, Canada, which is now part of Toronto, Ontario. They played in the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League and the Central Junior B Hockey League. Jr. A Beehives Founded in 1949 in what became the Metro Junior B Hockey League (in 1956). The Staffords disappeared but were replaced when the East York Rockets moved to Mississauga in 1953. The Beehives won Metro Junior B titles in 1970 and 1971. They joined the new Ontario Provincial Junior "A" league in 1972 and stayed until the league began to fall apart in 1986, although the Beehives folded a year before the league did due to their rink being sold and closed down. The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) is a Junior A ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada. It is under the supervision of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) and the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). The league was listed as the 7th best developmental league in North America for professional and amateur ice hockey in July 2013 by the website, "TheHockeyWriters.com".
