Canelloni, Macaroni
"Canelloni, Macaroni" is a song written by Lasse Holm, and recorded by him released as a single in 1986. The song chartered at Svensktoppen for 13 weeks between 18 May-12 October 1986, even topping the chart. The song was also performed in the TV programme '' Razzel'', and was originally written with lyrics in English. But arranger Lennart Sjöholm wanted the song to be in Italian, as it included arias. Lasse Holm then went to different pizzerias reading menus over Italian food. Bert Karlsson wanted the song for Melodifestivalen, which never occurred, and the song became popular at pizzerias. A video was also recorded. Four cranes were used, and the cameras rolled over long tables with Lasse Holm singing wearing a white suit. In England, it was appointed "worst video ever". In an Adressändring commercial, Lasse Holm stated that he came up with the lyrics when getting an advertising flyer from a pizzeria, but first thought it was proposed song lyrics, which he had ordered. ... Lars-Eric Gustav "Lasse" Holm (born 9 December 1943) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and television host. Holm has also hosted and appeared in several television shows. As singer Since childhood, he was interested in music and was a member of a lot of pop music and rock music groups in the 1960s: ''Doug and the Millsmen'', ''The Spacemen'' and ''The Moonlighters''. Holm and singer Monica Törnell represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1986 with the song "E' de' det här du kallar kärlek". As songwriter Holm is best known as a schlager composer. During the 1980s, he was a songwriter for Chips and country band Mats Rådberg & Rankarna. Bert Willis Karlsson (born 21 June 1945) is a Swedish record company manager, entrepreneur, and former politician (Member of Parliament 1991-1994) and front figure of the New Democracy (''Ny Demokrati'') party.
