''Cancer'' is the first full-length studio album by Australian metalcore band Confession, released in October 2009, through Resist Records. The album was recorded at Sound House Studio in Adelaide, Australia and mixed by Roman Koester (The Red Shore guitarist) in Melbourne. Confession are an Australian metalcore band from Melbourne. The band was formed in 2008 by frontman Michael Crafter, who is best known as A lifelong Port Adelaide Football Club Member and the former lead vocalist of metalcore bands I Killed the Prom Queen, Carpathian and Bury Your Dead. They have released one EP titled ''Can't Live, Can't Breathe'' and three albums: ''Cancer'', '' The Long Way Home'' and ''Life and Death''. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Resist Records is an independent record label and retail store based in Newtown, New South Wales, Australia. The Long Way Home (Confession Album)
''The Long Way Home'' is the second full-length studio album by Australian metalcore band Confession, released on 23 September 2011, through Resist Records. This is the last album to feature guitarists Dan Brown and Adam Harris, bassist Tim Anderson and drummer Shane O'Brien, leaving Michael Crafter as the only original member. The album was recorded with famed Swedish producer Fredrik Nordström ( In Flames, Bring Me the Horizon, At the Gates, Opeth) at his Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden, in April 2011. The Red Shore
The Red Shore are an Australian deathcore band from Geelong, Victoria, formed in 2004. They signed to Big Phat Adelaide Records and Modern Music in 2006 and released their first EP, ''Salvaging What's Left''. In late 2007, the band raised national headlines when they were involved in a fatal bus crash while on tour, claiming the lives of vocalist Damien Morris and roadie Andy Milner. Following the accident, the members decided to continue as a band with bass player Jamie Hope moving up to vocals as well as signing to Siege of Amida Records. The group released their debut album, ''Unconsecrated'', in 2008. Deez Nuts are an Australian hardcore punk band that formed in Melbourne in 2007. The lineup currently consists of vocalist JJ Peters, guitarist Matt Rogers a.k.a. Real Bad, and drummer Alex Salinger. The band has released one EP and six studio albums. History Formation and ''Rep Your Hood'' (2007–2008) Deez Nuts started after the disbanding of Australian metalcore band I Killed the Prom Queen, of which JJ Peters was the drummer.
