Resist Records is an independent record label and retail store based in Newtown, New South Wales, Australia. The store was opened by Toe To Toe vocalist, Scotty McFadyen in 1996 before expanding to a record label in 1998. Shock Records
Shock Records (now part of Shock Entertainment) is an Australian independent record label. History The three founding members had all previously worked in music retail or distribution: Williams for a Melbourne distribution company called "Musicland", Falvo for Exposure Records and McGee for Greville Records. Other ventures Shock also started the company CDFA, an entertainment distribution and fulfilment company, which also engages in music publishing. Mindsnare are an Australian hardcore band from Melbourne, Victoria. Formed in 1993 under the name Mad Circle, their music is a blend of traditional "old school" hardcore punk and crossover metal, and as such has seen them play alongside metal bands like Kreator and Ringworm, as well as more straightforward hardcore acts like Agnostic Front, Sick of it All and Australia's Toe To Toe. Where's the Pope? were a hardcore punk band from Adelaide, South Australia formed in 1985 with mainstays Frank Pappagalo on vocals and Robert Stafford on bass guitar. In June 1988 they issued ''Straightedge Holocaust'' on Reactor Records and in March 1990, after some line-up changes, they released ''Sunday Afternoon BBQ's'' on Greasy Pop Records. Toe to Toe are an Australian hardcore band from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The band was most prominent in the Australian hardcore scene during the 1990s, touring and recording less frequently by the 2000s. They have been described as "one of the best hardcore outfits ever to grace the planet" by ''Punknews.org''. I Killed The Prom Queen
I Killed the Prom Queen were an Australian metalcore band from Adelaide, formed in 2000. They were prominent in the Australian live music scene and toured the US, Japan and parts of Europe several times. They issued three studio albums: ''When Goodbye Means Forever...'' (2003), ''Music for the Recently Deceased'' (2006) – the latter reached the top 30 on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Albums Chart, and most recently ''Beloved (I Killed the Prom Queen album), Beloved'' (2014). The band split up in April 2007 due to the inability to find a permanent vocalist. Icepick (band)
Icepick is an American metalcore band formed in 1996. It serves as a side project to Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed, Danny Diablo, and other musicians of the hardcore punk and hip hop scenes. Although founded in 1996, Icepick remained virtually stagnant until the song "Born to Crush You" appeared on ''UFC: Ultimate Beat Downs, Vol. 1'' in August 2004. Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski frequently uses their song "Onward to Victory" as his entrance music for fights. Icepick's debut album, ''Violent Epiphany'', was released on April 18, 2006, under Jasta's record label, Stillborn Records. The Hot Lies
The Hot Lies were an alternative rock, alternative rock band based in Australia. The band formed in Adelaide, in early 2004. Their line-up consisted of lead vocalist Pete Wood, rhythm guitarist Benjamin Pix, drummer Jared Brown, lead guitarist Luke Szabo (from Brock Downey) and former I Killed the Prom Queen bassist Leaton Rose. The Hope Conspiracy
The Hope Conspiracy is an American hardcore punk band from Boston formed in late 1999. They were picked up by Equal Vision Records and Bridge 9 Records before signing a deal with Deathwish Records. Biography With the help of Mark Thompson of Tortuga and Hydra Head Records, The Hope Conspiracy headed to Godcity Studios in Norwood, Massachusetts to record their first demo in November 1999. It consisted of three songs ("Escapist", "Divinity Sickness", and "When the Doves Fly"). They produced 1000 copies of the tape, and managed to present 200 copies at their first show with black and white covers (which were quickly made on the way to the gig). Then they produced 800 more color copies of the demo cover based on a design by Aaron Turner. The Dear & Departed was an American rock band from Orange County and Los Angeles, California, founded by Dan Smith. Founded in 2006, the band went on the Vans Warped Tour and released their debut album ''Something Quite Peculiar'' that same year. After the Fall are an Australian rock band from the Central Coast of New South Wales, formed in 2000. The band consists of vocalist and keyboardist Benjamin Windsor, drummer Andrew Atkins, bassist Matthew Gore and guitarist Mark Edward Warner.
