History The team was based in Campinas (of Campinas metropolitan area) as Campinas Futebol Clube. It found by Edmar Bernardes and Careca, both played for Campinas-based team Guarani Futebol Clube. After the major team of Barueri, Grêmio Recreativo Barueri moved to Presidente Prudente (of northwest hinterland) and became Grêmio Prudente Futebol, the club re-located to Barueri (of Greater São Paulo) and changed to current name in 2010. However Grêmio Barueri moved back to Barueri in 2011. The team was based in Estádio CERECAMP, Campinas. Arena Barueri is a multi-use stadium located in Barueri, São Paulo state, Brazil. It is used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of Oeste, and hosted the matches of Grêmio Recreativo Barueri until the 2010 season. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 31,452 people and was built in 2007. It is owned by the City of Barueri. During the reforming of Palestra Italia Stadium the Barueri Arena was being used for some home matches of Palmeiras. History Arena Barueri's construction started in June, 2006. The Copa Paulista de Futebol, formerly known as Copa FPF, also sometimes called Copa Federação Paulista de Futebol or, in English, São Paulo State Cup, is a tournament organized by Federação Paulista de Futebol Company every second half of the season.
