Camille Paulus (born 24 April 1943) is a Belgian lawyer and liberal politician. Education He graduated with a doctorate in law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in 1966. Career He succeeded Frans Van den Eynde as the mayor of Aartselaar in 1989. Paulus was a Law Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, mayor of Aartselaar, and President of the Liberaal Vlaams Verbond (1982–1993). Aartselaar (, old spelling: ''Aertselaer'') is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality only comprises the town of Aartselaar proper. In 2021, Aartselaar had a total population of 14,455. The total area is 10.93 km². The municipality of Aartselaar is located in the southern outskirts of Antwerp. It is known for its 1801 windmill (Heimolen) as well as the cycling race called Memorial Rik Van Steenbergen and Aartselaar BBC, the official basketball club of the town. Cathy Hilde Raymond Berx (born 8 January 1969 in Berchem) is a Belgian Christian Democrat politician, jurist and governor of the province of Antwerp. Cathy Berx is married to Johan Meeusen, vice-rector and professor of European Law at the University of Antwerp, and has 2 children. Career Berx obtained her Master of Laws in 1993 and worked from then on as an assistant at the University of Antwerp. From 1997 until 2004 she was a researcher for CEDER (Study Service of Christian Democratic Party). In 1998 she became Doctor of Laws and in 2000 she started teaching at the U.A. Andries Kinsbergen (25 September 1926 – 24 June 2016) was a Belgian lawyer and politician. Education Andries Kinsbergen went to highschool at the Royal Athenaeum of Deurne. An auditorium at his old highschool was named after him in 2010. In 1951, he graduated with a doctorate in Law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Career He started his career as a lawyer in Antwerp and also worked as an assistant at the VUB. Later he became professor at the RUCA. He was governor of the Belgian province Antwerp from 1 January 1967 until 1 October 1993. Since 1993, he was Minister of State. Kinsbergen died 24 June 2016.
