Camiel Fortgens
Camiel Fortgens (born 1992, Amsterdam, The Netherlands) is a Dutch fashion designer, he founded his eponymous fashion label in 2014. Background Camiel Fortgens graduated at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2014. With his first clothing collection, he was nominated for the Keep An Eye Grant, this unusual graduation specialization was initially discouraged by his tutors. Shortly after his graduation in 2015, he made his show debut at Amsterdam Fashion Week, the show was an extensive version of his graduation collection. Since then, Fortgens has been presenting its new collections through showrooms and small shows in Amsterdam and Paris. His clothing is worn by A$AP Rocky, Famke Louise and Pusha T, among others. Although 'he prefers more likely to dress his neighbor' according to Fortgens in an interview with ''i-D Magazine''. Design Academy Eindhoven
Design Academy Eindhoven is an interdisciplinary educational institute for art, architecture and design in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The work of its faculty and alumni have brought it international recognition, and is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading design schools. History The Design Academy Eindhoven was established in 1947 and was originally named the Academie voor Industriële Vormgeving (AIVE). The first nine students graduated in 1955. Amsterdam Fashion Week
Amsterdam Fashion Week (AFW) is a fashion event that takes place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands biannually. Both established brands and starting designers show their collections. The AFW used to be held at the Westergasfabriek location, but after takeover by fashion entrepreneur Danie Bles the fashion week switches locations ever season. In addition to the runway shows, which were open to invited guests and public with purchased tickets, the event also had a program open to the public called AIFW Downtown. The Downtown event consisted exhibitions, parties, store openings and other events in the field of fashion, spread throughout the city of Amsterdam. Since the takeover in 2018 everything has been placed under one coherent official program. An annual show on the program is Lichting since 2007. Famke Jantina Louise Meijer (born 9 December 1998), better known as Famke Louise, is a Dutch YouTuber, model and singer from Amsterdam.
