Cake (2018 Film)
''Cake'' is a 2018 Pakistani comedy drama film which is directed by Asim Abbasi. The film is produced by Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari (Zulfi Bukhari) and is a joint production by Asim Abbasi's United Kingdom-based production company Indus Talkies, and a Pakistani film production company ZAB Films. The film stars Sanam Saeed and Aamina Sheikh as lead characters alongside Adnan Malik in his film debut. A five-part prologue webisodes short-series was also released on YouTube, focusing on the lives of Zara and Adnan in London. It was selected as the Pakistani entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. Asim Abbasi
Asim Abbasi is a British-Pakistani film director, screenwriter and producer. He also has his own production company, ''Indus Talkies''. Career In 2012, he made the short film ''Anathema''. In 2013, he made two more short films, ''Once A Man'' & ''Whore''. Two years later, he made his fourth short film named ''Little Red Roses''. All four were shot in the United Kingdom. In 2018, Abbasi's first feature film, Cake, was lauded by critics. The Sketches
The Sketches () is a Sufi folk rock band from Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan, created by young musician Saif Samejo. Lux Style Awards
The Lux Style Awards is an award ceremony held annually in Pakistan since 2002. The awards celebrate "style" in the Pakistani entertainment industry, and it is the oldest event dedicated to cinema, television, fashion, music and film industry in Pakistan.
