Caerwys F.C. (Welsh language, Welsh Clwb Pêl Droed Caerwys) is a Association football, football club representing the Flintshire town of Caerwys in Wales, and they play their home games at Lon yr Ysgol at Caerwys. They currently play in the North East Wales Football League Premier Division, which is at tier four of the Welsh football pyramid. Caerwys currently play in the North East Wales Football League after the reorganisation of the Clwyd League in the 2011–12 season. History Located in Flintshire on the border with Denbighshire, Caerwys F.C. was formed at the turn of the century when they were known as Caerwys Town. Caerwys is a town in Flintshire, Wales. It is just under two miles from the A55 road, A55 North Wales Expressway and one mile from the A541 road, A541 Mold, Flintshire, Mold-Denbigh road. At the United Kingdom Census 2001, 2001 Census, the population of Caerwys Community (Wales), community was 1,315, with a total Ward (country subdivision), ward population of 2,496. Following reorganisation the community population fell at the 2011 Census to 1,283 with the ward raising to 2,569. The community includes Afonwen. The North East Wales Football League represents the North East Wales area at the fourth and fifth tiers of the Welsh football league system. It was established in 2020 as a successor to the North East Wales League following a reorganisation of the Welsh football pyramid. Clwyd League
The Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Football League ( cy, Dyffryn Clwyd & Chonwy) was a football league formed in 2011 following the split of the Clwyd Football League, which itself was formed in 1974 as an amalgamation of the Dyserth and the Halkyn Mountain League. The Premier Division was in the fifth level of the Welsh football league system in North Wales. The league folded in 2020 due to a reorganisation of the Welsh football league pyramid, with many teams joining the North Wales Coast East Football League. The league hosted several cup competitions: The President's Cup, The Premier Cup, The Halkyn Cup and the REM Jones Cup.
