The Cabinet Seehofer II was the state government of the German state of Bavaria from 10 October 2013 to 20 March 2018. The Cabinet was headed by Prime Minister Horst Seehofer Horst Lorenz Seehofer (born 4 July 1949) is a German politician who served as Minister of the Interior, Building and Community under Chancellor Angela Merkel from 2018 to 2021. Markus Thomas Theodor Söder (born 5 January 1967) is a German politician serving as Minister-President of Bavaria since 2018 and Leader of the Christian Social Union in Bavaria (CSU) since 2019. Background, education and military service Söder was born in Nuremberg and is the son of a building contractor. After graduating from the '' Dürer- Gymnasium'' Nuremberg in 1986, Söder had his year of military service from 1986 to 1987. He then studied law at the University of Erlangen–Nuremberg from 1987, with a scholarship from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. He passed his first state examination in 1991 and was a research assistant at the department of constitutional, administrative and church law at the same university. Christine Haderthauer
Christine Haderthauer (née Cuntze, born 11 November 1962) is a German politician and member of the CSU party. She hold several ministerial positions in Bavaria. Haderthauer was born in Neumünster. In October 2007 she was elected Secretary General of the CSU. She was succeeded by Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg in October 2008, as she became Bavarian State Minister for Labor, Social Affairs, Families and Women. In 2013 she was appointed head of the Bayerische Staatskanzlei (Bavarian State Chancellery) as well as State Minister for Federal Affairs and Special Tasks. She had to resign from office on 1 September 2014 because of the model car scandal in Bavaria. Haderthauer was an MP of the Landtag, the parliament of Bavaria, from 2003 until 2018. Emilia Franziska Müller (born 28 September 1951) is a German chemical technician and politician. A member of the conservative Christian Social Union of Bavaria (CSU), she has served as a member of the Landtag and as Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Family and Integration in the 2nd Cabinet of Minister-President Horst Seehofer since 2013.
