CGM48 (read ''C.G.M. Forty-eight'') is a Thai Teen idol, idol girl group. It is the first domestic sister group of the Thai idol group BNK48, and the eighth international AKB48 Group, sister group of AKB48, after Indonesia's JKT48, China's SNH48 (''former''),  Thailand's BNK48, Philippines's MNL48, China's AKB48 Team SH, Taiwan's AKB48 Team TP, and Vietnam's SGO48 (''disbanded''). The group is named after Chiang Mai, a city in Northern Thailand, where it will be based. The formation of the group was announced at a BNK48 event in Chiang Mai on 2 June 2019. On 10 June 2019, it was announced that BNK48 members Rina Izuta and Punyawee Jungcharoen would be transferred to the group as its manager and leader, respectively. The first audition of the group took place from 15 June to 15 July 2019. Punyawee Jungcharoen
Punyawee Jungcharoen ( th, ปุณยวีร์ จึงเจริญ, IPA: un.já.wiː t͡ɕɯŋ.t͡ɕà.rɤːn born 20 September 1995), or nickname Aom (, ), is a member of the Thai idol girl group CGM48, an international sister group of the Japanese idol girl group AKB48, where she is the captain of the group and concurrently a member of CGM48's Team C. Rina Izuta
is a Japanese singer and a member of the Thai idol girl group CGM48. She is also the first and current general manager of the group. She is a former member of AKB48 and BNK48. Career Izuta was born in Saitama Prefecture, and joined AKB48's 10th generation lineup in March 2010. In June 19th 2010 she was drafted into the Kenkyusei (research members) position within the group. In June 24th 2012 she is promoted being a members of Team Unknown and later moved to Team A in August 2012. After staying as Team A member, on 2014 at AKB48's Group Grand Reformation Festival she was moved to the group Team B. On 2015 she is moved to Team 4. AKB48 Group
, or AKB48 sister groups, shortened to 48 Group, 48g, refers to the sister groups of the Japanese idol girl group AKB48. Based on the same concept "idols you can meet", it currently consists of 5 sister groups in locations across Japan and 7 sister groups in major Asian cities overseas from Indonesia to India.
