CD Fundosa ONCE
Club Deportivo Ilunion, formerly known as Club Deportivo Fundosa ONCE, is a wheelchair basketball team based in Madrid, Spain. History Fundosa ONCE was founded in 1994 as the sports club of the ONCE. Since its first season, the club played in División de Honor thanks to achieving the league berth of CD ONCE Andalucía. Fundosa ONCE is the most prolific team in the Spanish wheelchair basketball. In 1997, the club won the IWBF Champions Cup, its biggest achievement until repeating the feat in 2015 and 2016 respectively. In 2014, Fundosa ONCE changed its name to CD Ilunion. Two years later, Ilunion won its second IWBF Champions Cup after beating in the final RSV Lahn-Dill by 71–45. Spanish Wheelchair Basketball League
The Spanish Wheelchair Basketball League, in Spanish called División de Honor de Baloncesto en Silla de Ruedas is the top-flight professional league for wheelchair basketball teams in Spain with men and women players. It is governed by the Spanish Sports Federation for People with Physical Disabilities ( es, Federación Española de Deportes de Personas con Discapacidad Físicos, FEDDF). Founded in 1971 as ''Primera División'' it changed its name to ''División de Honor'' in 1992. Competition format Ten teams compete annually in the league, played with a double round-robin format. The Spanish league the only one of the major leagues in Europe without playoffs. The last two teams are relegated to a lower league, the Spanish Wheelchair Basketball First División while the two top ranked teams of the lower league are promoted to the División de Honor. Wheelchair Basketball
Wheelchair basketball is basketball played by people with varying physical disabilities that disqualify them from playing a non-disabled sport. These include spina bifida, birth defects, cerebral palsy, paralysis due to accident, amputations (of the legs, or other parts), and many other disabilities. The International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) is the governing body for this sport. It is recognized by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) as the sole competent authority in wheelchair basketball worldwide. FIBA has recognized IWBF under Article 53 of its General Statutes. CD ONCE Andalucía
Club Deportivo ONCE Andalucía was a wheelchair basketball team based in Seville, Spain. History ONCE Andalucía was founded in 1988 as part of the Spanish association ONCE. Since 1991, it competed in the top Spanish Wheelchair Basketball League, except in the 1994–95 season, when its berth was sold to the new creation club CD Fundosa ONCE. After winning several Spanish competitions, in 2008 it won the André Vergauwen Cup, its only European achievement. The RSV Lahn-Dill (''shortened: Wheelchair sport association Lahn-Dill, in German: Rollstuhl Sport Verein Lahn-Dill'') is an association for wheelchair basketball in Wetzlar. The Association was founded in 1983. The Association counts to the most successful clubs in Germany, with fourteen German titles of championship. In the last years it was one of the most successful clubs worldwide. Lahn-Dill participated in all three European competitions and won the Willi-Brinkmann-Cup finals 2002 in Łódź. The club won the IWBF Champions Cup three times in a row between 2004 and 2006, being the first German team ever to win the Champions Cup. Alejandro Zarzuela
Alejandro Zarzuela Beltrán (born 2 April 1987) is a Spanish 3 point wheelchair basketball player. He has represented Spain as a member of the national team at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and at the U-23 European Championships. As a club wheelchair basketball player in Spain, he has played all but two seasons on the same team with his twin brother, Pablo. Terry Bywater
Terrance Bywater (born 28 February 1983) is a British wheelchair basketball player. He participated in the 2000 Summer Paralympics, where his team came in fourth place; in the 2004 Summer Paralympics, where he won a bronze medal and was the highest scorer for Great Britain; the 2008 Summer Paralympics, winning another bronze medal; and the 2012 Summer Paralympics, where his team again came in fourth place. Personal Bywater was born on 28 February 1983 in Dormanstown, England and currently lives in Cleveland, North Yorkshire. , he weighs and is tall.
