Balod district of Chhattisgarh state has its headquarters at Balod. It has District & Sessions Court which was inaugurated on 2 October 2013 by Hon'ble Shri Justice Sunil Kumar Sinha: Judge, Chhattisgarh High Court. Shri Deepak Kumar Tiwari is joined as first District & Sessions Judge at Balod. Administration In Balod First collector Mr. Amrit Khalko & First A.S.P. is Mr. D.L. Manhar. Demographics The population of the district as per 2011 census is 826,165. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes make up 8.28% and 31.36% of the population respectively. List Of Districts Of Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh, a state of India, has 33 administrative districts. At the time of separation from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh originally had 16 districts. Two new districts: Bijapur and Narayanpur were carved out on May 11, 2007 and nine new districts on Jan 1, 2012. The new districts have been created by carving out the existing districts to facilitate more targeted, focused and closer administration. These districts have been named Sukma, Kondagaon, Balod, Bemetara, Baloda Bazar, Gariaband, Mungeli, Surajpur and Balrampur The district of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, was inaugurated on 10 February 2020. Dhamtari is a district of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. This district is situated at 20°42' N latitude and 81°33' E longitude.
