C. J. Molloy
C. J. Molloy (born 1989) is an American sportsperson. As a Gaelic footballer he has played for New York in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Early life and education Son of Connie Molloy, a manager of and former player with the New York team, he is a native of Hawthorne, which is about thirty miles north of Manhattan. He is the nephew of Anthony Molloy, the 1992 All-Ireland winning captain. As a boy he spent summers in Donegal, Galway and Tralee. Molloy received a basketball scholarship from Union College located three and a half hours away. However, he returned to the Bronx three times each week for football training. He ultimately gave up basketball after a few months to concentrate on his football. An anterior cruciate ligament injury occurs when the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is either stretched, partially torn, or completely torn. The most common injury is a complete tear. Symptoms include pain, an audible cracking sound during injury, instability of the knee, and joint swelling. Swelling generally appears within a couple of hours. 2017 Donegal Senior Football Championship
The 2017 Donegal Senior Football Championship was the 95th official edition of Donegal GAA's premier Gaelic football tournament for senior graded clubs in County Donegal. Sixteen teams compete with the winner representing Donegal in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship. The championship began with four groups of four and continued with a knock-out format. Glenswilly were the defending champions after they defeated Kilcar 1-10 to 0-12 in the 2016 final. C. J. Molloy scored a contender for goal of the season against Glenswilly in their opening group match, though his club lost. Glenswilly GAA (Irish: ''CLG Gleann tSúilí'') is a GAA club based in Glenswilly, County Donegal, Ireland. Most noted for winning the Donegal Senior Football Championship in 2011, 2013 and 2016, the team has fielded players like All-Ireland winning captain Michael Murphy. Diarmuid Connolly (born 7 July 1987) is an Irish Gaelic footballer. His league and championship career at senior level as a forward playing for the Dublin county team initially spanned 11 seasons from 2007 until 2018 when he left the panel after appearing in a league game against Mayo in February 2018. The ''Donegal Democrat'' is a twice-weekly local newspaper, covering County Donegal, Ireland. The paper was traditionally based in the town of Ballyshannon in the south of the county, but now has offices in Donegal Town (southern edition) and Letterkenny (northern edition).
