Buchenavia Tetraphylla
''Buchenavia capitata'' is a tree of the Caribbean and northeastern South-American regions. Its Spanish vernacular names include granadillo (Puerto Rico), almendro (Colombia), amarillo and olivo negro (Venezuela), and mirindiba and periquiteira (Brazil). Its English vernacular name is fourleaf buchenavia. It is also known as ''Buchenavia tetraphylla'' (Aubl.) Howard. Taxonomy It belongs to the order of Myrtales in the class of Equisetopsida. It is considered a synonym of ''Buchenavia tetraphylla'', which is considered the accepted name. The Myrtales are an order of flowering plants placed as a sister to the eurosids II clade as of the publishing of the ''Eucalyptus grandis'' genome in June 2014. The APG III system of classification for angiosperms still places it within the eurosids. Equisetopsida
Equisetidae is one of the four subclasses of Polypodiopsida (ferns), a group of vascular plants with a fossil record going back to the Devonian. They are commonly known as horsetails. They typically grow in wet areas, with whorls of needle-like branches radiating at regular intervals from a single vertical stem. The Equisetidae were formerly regarded as a separate division of spore plants and called Equisetophyta, Arthrophyta, Calamophyta or Sphenophyta.
