Broxeele (; nl, Broksele) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France. It is south of Dunkirk and also west of the Belgian border. Name The name is derived from the Dutch ''Broec sele'' (modern name: ''Broksele''), which means "house (with one room) in the marsh" (in 1072: ''Brocsela''). The name ''Brussels'' has exactly the same etymology. Manneken Pis
''Manneken Pis'' (; ) is a landmark bronze fountain sculpture in central Brussels, Belgium, depicting a puer mingens; a naked little boy urinating into the fountain's basin. Though its existence is attested as early as the 15th century, it was designed in its current form by the Brabantine sculptor Jérôme Duquesnoy the Elder and put in place in 1618 or 1619. ''Manneken Pis'' has been repeatedly stolen or damaged throughout its history. The current statue is a replica dating from 1965, with the original being kept in the Brussels City Museum.
