Over 2% of the residents in Zetland speak Portuguese, and approximately 5% of the residents in Zetland speak Portuguese and Spanish. This is higher than the suburb of Petersham, which was previously known as the suburb with the highest percentage of Portuguese speakers. 2021 Australian Census
The 2021 Australian census, simply called the 2021 Census, was the eighteenth national Census of Population and Housing in Australia. The 2021 Census took place on 10 August 2021, and was conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). The total population of the Commonwealth of Australia was counted as 25,422,788 – an increase of 8.6 per cent or 2,020,896 people over the previous 2016 census. Results from the 2021 census were released to the public on 28 June 2022 from the Australian Bureau of Statistics website. Aseem Pereira
Aseem Pereira (born 24 August 1960) is a Brazilian artist. He migrated to Australia in 1990 where he studied Visual arts, Visual Arts at the Sydney College of the Arts. Work Pereira was a Studio glass, glass artist in his early years. His work was published twice in ''New Glass Review'' by the Corning Museum of Glass, and he was recipient of The Jaguar Designers of the Year (Glass category). Agenor Muniz (Australian Footballer)
Agenor Muniz (born 24 June 1949) is a former footballer. Originally from CR Vasco da Gama in the Brazilian metropolis Rio de Janeiro, in 1971 he joined ''Eastern Suburbs Hakoah'', later well known as Sydney City in Australia, where he won several titles. To date he remains the sole Brazilian to ever play for the Australian national football team in an official match.
