Bohosudov
Krupka (; german: Graupen) is a town in Teplice District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 12,000 inhabitants. The town is located in the Ore Mountain Mining Region, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, and during the late Middle Ages it was one of the world-leading producers of tin and silver. The centre of Krupka is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone. Herta Lindner
Herta Lindner (3 November 1920 – 29 March 1943) was a member of the German resistance against Nazism in occupied Czechoslovakia. She was born in 1920 into a German-speaking family in Mariaschein, Czechoslovakia (now Bohosudov, Czech Republic). She joined the Socialist Youth of Germany – Falcons at a young age. Lindner and her family opposed the Sudeten German Party. During the German occupation of Czechoslovakia Lindner lived in Prague and Dresden but returned in 1941 to her family. She worked as salesclerk in Teplice. Lindner was a founding member of the ''Lindenbrüder Hohenstein'' climbing club, which served as a cover for illegal anti-Nazi activities. Herta Lindner and her father were arrested by the SS on 27 November 1941 for their political activities. They were held in Most and later brought to Berlin, where Herta was sentenced to death for high treason in November 1942. Most Basin
The Most Basin (also known as North Bohemian Basin; cs, Mostecká pánev, german: Nordböhmisches Becken) is a tectonic Depression (geology), depression and Geomorphological division of the Czech Republic, geomorphological mesoregion of the Czech Republic. It is named after the city of Most (city), Most. It forms the southwestern and central parts of the Ústí nad Labem Region. It is among the richest European deposits of lignite, which has been extracted here since the second half of 19th century, mostly by extensive surface mining. Radim Breite (born 10 August 1989) is a Czech football midfielder who plays for Sigma Olomouc and the Czechia national team. Club career Breite began his professional football career in the Czech First League with FK Teplice. Carl Ferdinand Von Arlt
Carl Ferdinand Ritter von Arlt (April 18, 1812 – March 7, 1887) was an Austrian ophthalmologist born in Ober-Graupen, a village near Teplitz (Teplice) in Bohemia. He earned his doctorate in Prague in 1839, and later became a professor of ophthalmology in Prague (1849–1856) and Vienna (1856–1883). His son Ferdinand Ritter von Arlt (1842–1917) was also an ophthalmologist. Arlt published a prodigious number of books and articles concerning diseases of the eye, and collaborated with Albrecht von Graefe and Franciscus Donders on the journal ''Archiv für Ophthalmologie''. He was the first physician to provide proof that myopia (short-sightedness) is generally a consequence of excessive length of the sagittal axis of the eye (bulbus). The House of Clary und Aldringen, also known as Clary-Aldringen, is one of the most prominent Austro-Hungarian princely families. Originally from Friuli, Northern Italy, one branch of the family moved to the County of Tyrol around 1500 and to the Kingdom of Bohemia around 1600, where it became one of the leading families of the Bohemian nobility.
