Bhimdatta Panta
Bhimdatta Panta (Nepali:भिमदत्त पन्त) was a farmer, revolutionary leader and a martyr from Dadeldhura District, of Nepal. He is known for raising a protest in the favour of peasants and oppressed farmers in the Far-Western Region of Nepal, by the landlords "elite Thakuris". He was martyred with the charges of treason by Local Elites on 1953 A.D aged 27. The town Bhimdatta, Bhimdatta Municipality in Kanchanpur district is named after him (until 2008 the town was named Mahendranagar). Amargadhi
Amargadhi is a municipality and the district headquarter of Dadeldhura District in Sudurpashchim Province of western Nepal. It was named after Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa, who fought in the Gurkha War between 1814 and 1816 At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 21,245 people living in 4,778 individual households. Dasharath Chand ( ne, दशरथ चन्द; 1903-28 January 1941) is martyr of Nepalese Democratic Movement and a politician of Nepal who was active in starting a political revolution in Nepal during Rana rule. Martyr ( ne, नेपालका सहिद; Shahid) in Nepal is a term for some one who is executed while making contributions for the welfare of the country or society. Thakuri
Thakuri ( ne, ठकुरी) is a sub-caste of Khasas tribes in Nepal. It consists of the historical ruling class, and is made up of the descendants of the Great Khasa Malla kingdom rulers of the Baisi and Chaubisi principalities. The former royal family of Nepal also belong to this Khas sub-tribe. Etymology Nepali sociologist Harka Bahadur Gurung noted that the ''Thakuri'' is the Nepalese version of the Hindi word '' Thakur'' which means 'master of the estate'. Thakuris of Nepal are also associated with some territory inherited from the days of Baisi and Chaubisi principalities and the term ''Thakurai'' actually refers to 'fiefdom'. The Quit India Movement, also known as the August Kranti Movement, was a movement launched at the Bombay session of the All India Congress Committee by Mahatma Gandhi on 8th August 1942, during World War II, demanding an end to British rule in India. After the failure of the Cripps Mission to secure Indian support for the British war effort, Gandhi made a call to ''Do or Die'' in his Quit India movement delivered in Bombay on 8 August 1942 at the Gowalia Tank Maidan. The All India Congress Committee launched a mass protest demanding what Gandhi called "An Orderly British Withdrawal" from India. Even though it was at war, the British were prepared to act. Dadeldhura District
Dadeldhura, a part of Sudurpashchim Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Dadeldhura as its district headquarters, covers an area of and had a population of 126,162 in 2001 and 142,094 in 2011. The region has a mountainous landscape that contains many religious temples. The district is seldom visited by tourists but contains local routes to Mt Kailash in Tibet, Ra Ra Lake in Humla district, and the last remaining remnants of the Far Western Malla Kingdom.
