Baguley Railway Station
Baguley railway station was a station in the south of Manchester, England, at the extreme western edge of Baguley near the southern end of Brooklands Road where Shady Lane crossed the railway line. History Served by the Stockport, Timperley and Altrincham Junction Railway (ST&AJ), Baguley station was opened on 1 February 1866. From 15 August 1867 the ST&AJ became part of the Cheshire Lines Committee (CLC) and from the Grouping of 1923, the CLC was jointly owned by the London and North Eastern Railway and London, Midland and Scottish Railway companies. The station then passed under the control of the London Midland Region of British Railways on nationalisation in 1948. Baguley station was served by local passenger trains from Stockport Tiviot Dale to Warrington Central and continuing on to Liverpool Central station. West Timperley Railway Station
West Timperley railway station was situated on the Glazebrook East Junction–Skelton Junction line of the Cheshire Lines Committee between and . It served the locality between 1873 and 1964. Construction, opening and location of the station The station was built by the Cheshire Lines Committee (CLC) and opened for passengers on 2 September 1873. It was sometimes referred to as ''West Timperley for Altrincham and Bowdon'' in some railway timetables. The station was located immediately west of the A56 Manchester Road in Broadheath near to West Timperley at a point just north of the road junction with Lindsell Road, and just south-west of the point where Timperley Brook runs under Manchester Road which forms the Broadheath - Timperley boundary. Northenden Railway Station
Northenden railway station in Sharston, Manchester, England, was built by the Stockport, Timperley and Altrincham Junction Railway (ST&AJ) and opened for passenger and goods traffic on 1 February 1866. On 15 August 1867 the ST&AJ became part of the Cheshire Lines Committee, from 1 January 1923 jointly owned by the London and North Eastern Railway and the London, Midland and Scottish Railway. Baguley tram stop is a tram stop on the Airport Line, built for phase 3B of the Manchester Metrolink to Manchester Airport. It opened on 3 November 2014 and is on Southmoor Road next to Roundthorn Industrial Estate and a Tesco supermarket. Manchester Metrolink (branded locally simply as Metrolink) is a tram/ light rail system in Greater Manchester, England. The network has 99 stops along of standard-gauge route, making it the most extensive light rail system in the United Kingdom. Altrincham Interchange is a transport hub in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, England. It consists of a bus station on Stamford New Road, a Northern Trains-operated heavy rail station on the Mid-Cheshire Line, and a light rail stop which forms the terminus of Manchester Metrolink's Altrincham line. Stockport Railway Station
Stockport railway station in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England, is 8 miles south-east of Manchester Piccadilly on the West Coast Main Line to London Euston. History The Manchester and Birmingham Railway opened in stages from Manchester and reached Stockport in 1840. The line ran from a temporary station in Manchester to another in Stockport at the north end of the uncompleted Stockport Viaduct. The temporary station, which was later renamed Heaton Norris, was Stockport's only station for more than two years.
