Byeon Yeong-ro
Byeon Yeong-ro (Hangul: 변영로, Hanja: 卞榮魯, 1898–1961), also known by the pen name Suju (Hangul: 수주, Hanja: 樹州), was a Korean poet and English literature scholar. His original name was Byeon Yeong-Bok(卞榮福), but he changed his name in 1958. He is considered a pioneer of modern Korean poetry and is well known for the poem, "Nongae" (Hangul: 논개), which was included in South Korean government-issued textbooks from 1953 to 2003. Life Byeon was born in Seoul in 1898. He began studying English in 1915 when he was 17 years old and graduated from a three-year English language course in only six months. PEN International (known as International PEN until 2010) is a worldwide association of writers, founded in London in 1921 to promote friendship and intellectual co-operation among writers everywhere. Chogye Byeon Clan
Chogye Byeon clan () is one of the Korean clans. Their Bon-gwan is in Hapcheon County, South Gyeongsang Province. According to the research held in 2015, the number of Chogye Byeon clan's member was 76045. The name of Byeon clan came from the fact that ’s descendant who was a sixth son of King Wen in Zhou dynasty was awarded the land named Byeon (). Choi Bool-am (born June 15, 1940) is a South Korean actor and a professor. Biography Choi was born in the neighborhood of , Dong-gu, Incheon, Korea in 1940. Choi was the only son to his father Choi Cheol, a business man, and his mother Lee Myeong-suk who was a daughter of a royal pharmacist of the Korean Empire. Choi Cheol suddenly died when Choi was 8 years old and entered Sinheung Elementary School in Incheon. Choi moved to Seoul to attend Jungang Middle School. Choi was drawn to theater as he entered a theater club at Jungang High School. Choi established directing experiences while at Seorabeol Art College (which has since merged into the present-day Chung-Ang University). He entered Hanyang University in 1960. Before graduation, Choi starred in several plays. Choi was recruited as a KBS TV actor in 1976, and entered stardom with the role of Kim Jongseo in the drama series, ''Prince Suyang''. Nongae
Nongae or Joo Nongae (Hangul: 주논개, Hanja: 朱論介) (3 September 1574 – 1593) was a gisaeng of Jinju during the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. A popular legend tells the story of her sacrificial assassination of the Japanese general Keyamura Rokusuke. Life Nongae was born in Jeolla during the Joseon Dynasty. She was born into the Sinan Joo clan. Her father was Joo Dal-mun (Hangul: 주달문, Hanja: 朱達文), who may have been a scholar, and her mother, of whom we only know her family name, Park, was from the Miryang Park clan. Nongae was a late-born child to the couple, whose son, Joo Dae-ryong (Hangul: 주대룡), died at the age of 15. In 1578, her father died and she was entrusted to the care of her uncle Joo Dal-mu (Hangul: 주달무) who lived in the House of Ahn-hyeon in Gyeongsang. Korea ( ko, 한국, or , ) is a peninsular region in East Asia.
