Buq Aqable (), also spelled Buqda, is a District in the central Hiiran region of Somalia population about 50,000 people living in Buq Aqable constantly. It locates south of Beledweyn city and from Buulobarde. The town was established in early 16th century by elders of Gaaljecel clan and it is the base for the Gaaljecel clan leader (Ugaas). Hiran ( so, Hiiraan, ar, هيران) is an administrative region ('' gobol'') in central Somalia and part of the Hirshabelle State. The Gaalje'el ( so, Gaaljecel), ( it, Galgial), ( ar, الجعل) Galjecel is one of the largest Somali clans, whose origins trace back to Samaale. The Galje'el clan belong to the Saransor family of clans, alongside the Issa, Masare and Degodia. Etymology According to ''Ali Jimale,'' the etymology of the name Gaalje'el is from ''gaal,'' meaning camel and ''je'el'' meaning love: ''gaalje'el'' meaning "that which loves the camel". ''Gaal'' is the Af May ( Reewin dialect) equivalent of ''Geel'' in Af Maḥa Tiri (the Maḥa Tiri dialect). Another etymology, which has recently gained steam, references the Jaalin tribe of Sudan. Beledweyne ( so, Beledweyne, ar, بلد وين, it, Belet Uen) is a city in central Somalia. Beledweyne District is the capital city of the Hiran region. The city is situated in the Shebelle Valley riverine near the Ethiopian border, 210 miles (345 km) north of Mogadishu. Beledweyne is divided by the Shebelle River into eastern and western sections. In 2019, Safiya Jimale became the first female mayor in Somalia. History There were battles in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011. The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) was a regional peacekeeping mission operated by the African Union with the approval of the United Nations Security Council.
