Bullsbrook, Western Australia
Bullsbrook (formerly Bullsbrook East) is a northern suburb of Perth, Western Australia in the outer metropolitan area. It is located in the City of Swan. The original Bullsbrook townsite is located slightly west of the current town, on the 17 km mark of the Midland Railway. Bullsbrook is also home to the RAAF Pearce airbase, a major training facility for the Royal Australian Air Force. The suburb is situated on the Great Northern Highway, 25 kilometres north of the Midland Strategic Regional Centre. It is well serviced by several major transport networks including the Great Northern Highway, Railway Parade and the Brand Highway to the north, Chittering Road to the east and Neaves Road to the west. Bullsbrook is also adjacent to the State rail network, providing an opportunity for the development of an intermodal freight transport hub. City Of Swan
The City of Swan is a local government area of Western Australia. It is in the eastern metropolitan region of Perth and includes the Swan Valley and 42 suburbs. It is centred approximately 20 km north-east of the Perth central business district. The City covers an area of 1,042 km² (which is 19.4% of the Perth Metro area) and had an estimated population of 155,653 in 2020. 32.7% of the City of Swan population was born overseas, compared with 36.1% for Greater Perth. Intermodal freight transport involves the transportation of freight in an intermodal container or vehicle, using multiple modes of transportation (e.g., rail, ship, aircraft, and truck), without any handling of the freight itself when changing modes. Köppen Climate Classification
The Köppen climate classification is one of the most widely used climate classification systems. It was first published by German-Russian climatologist Wladimir Köppen (1846–1940) in 1884, with several later modifications by Köppen, notably in 1918 and 1936. Later, the climatologist Rudolf Geiger (1894–1981) introduced some changes to the classification system, which is thus sometimes called the Köppen–Geiger climate classification system. Bullsbrook College
Bullsbrook College is an Independent Public School for students from kindergarten to year 12. It is located in Bullsbrook, Western Australia, a town and suburb north-northwest of Perth. Overview As well as from Bullsbrook, the school attracts students from Bindoon, Gingin, Muchea and parts of the Swan Valley. History The school was opened in 1952 as Bullsbrook Primary School, replacing an earlier school in Bullsbrook built in 1901. It was soon renamed to Bullsbrook Junior High School in 1954. By 1996, the school was renamed to Bullsbrook District High School. Henry Bull (settler)
Lieutenant Henry Bull (1799) was an early settler in the Swan River Colony. He entered the Royal Navy in December 1813, and served in the West Indies and South America. He retired as a Lieutenant in 1829, and the following year he arrived in Western Australia. He took up land grants on the Canning River in the area now known as Bull Creek; and he was one of the pioneer settlers of the Upper Swan district, with land in what is now the suburb of Bullsbrook. Bull was the local magistrate of the Upper Swan district for many years. He and George Fletcher Moore are credited with the establishment and maintenance of friendly relations with the indigenous people of the area. Midland Railway Of Western Australia
The Midland Railway of Western Australia (MRWA) was a railway company that built and operated the Midland line in Western Australia. It was listed on the London Stock Exchange. Although having its headquarters in London, it had no association with the English Midland Railway.
