Bulgaria In The Eurovision Song Contest 2008
Bulgaria participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "DJ, Take Me Away" written by Dian Savov. The song was performed by the group Deep Zone and Balthazar. The Bulgarian broadcaster Bulgarian National Television (BNT) organised the national final ''EuroBGvision'' in order to select the Bulgarian entry for the 2008 contest in Belgrade, Serbia. A total of 63 entries were selected to participate in the national final which consisted of five shows: three quarter-finals, a semi-final and a final, where "DJ, Take Me Away" performed by Deep Zone and Balthazar eventually emerged as the winning entry with 15.37% of the public televote. Bulgaria was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 22 May 2008. Deep Zone Project
Deep Zone Project is a Bulgarian house/ electro band formed in 1998 by DJ Dian Solo, JuraTone and Rossko. They are most famous for their collaboration with DJ Balthazar, representing Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song " DJ, Take Me Away". The band has released five albums and has had a number of successful singles on the Bulgarian charts and has won many national and international awards. Their vocalist until early 2011 was Yoanna Dragneva; after leaving for a solo career, she was replaced by Nadia. Formation Deep Zone Project was formed in 1998 by three musicians, DJs and studio engineers. They were DJ Dian Solo (Dian Savov), JuraTone (Lyubomir Savov, Dian's father) and Rossko (Rosen Stoev). Karolina Gočeva represented Macedonia in the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Od nas zavisi" after winning the national final selection, for the Eurovision Song Contest 2002. Before Eurovision Skopje Fest 2002 The final was held on 16 February 2002 at the Macedonian National Theatre in Skopje, hosted by Igor Džambazov. RTP1 (''RTP um'') is a Portuguese free-to-air television channel owned and operated by state-owned public broadcaster Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP). It is the company's flagship television channel, and is known for broadcasting mainstream and generalist programming, including '' Telejornal'' news bulletins, prime time drama, cinema and entertainment, and major breaking news, sports and special events. Turkish Radio And Television Corporation
The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT; Turkish : ) is the national public broadcaster of Turkey, founded in 1964. TRT was for many years the only television and radio provider in Turkey. Before the introduction of commercial radio in 1990, and subsequently commercial television in 1992, it held a monopoly on broadcasting. More recent deregulation of the Turkish television broadcasting market produced analogue cable television. Show TV is a nationwide television channel in Turkey owned by Albayrak Holding since 2018, acquired from Sadık Albayrak which in turn seized from Ciner Media Group after Turgay Ciner was forced to sell due to tax debts. The channel replaces Cine5's now-defunct frequencies, and it was originally established by the Turkish businessmen Erol Aksoy and Haldun Simavi, although it were originally launched on March 1, 1991, when it commences its test transmissions. MTV Türkiye was a Turkish pay-television channel owned by Viacom. It launched on October 23, 2006. The Eurovision Song Contest 2004 was the 49th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Istanbul, Turkey, following the country's victory at the with the song "Everyway That I Can" by Sertab Erener. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), the contest was held at the Abdi İpekçi Arena, and, for the first time, consisted of a semi-final on 12 May, and a final on 15 May 2004.
