Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club
The Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club is a private tennis club located in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The club is the host of the ATP Buenos Aires, an ATP Tour tournament played on clay. Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club is a founding member of the Argentine Tennis Association, established 2 September 1921, along with Quilmes, Ferrocarril del Sud, GEBA, Lomas, Belgrano, Ferro Carril Oeste, and Estudiantes BA and 12 other institutions. Tennis at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics was held on 7–14 October. The events took place at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can enter a maximum of 4 competitors, 2 per each gender. As hosts, Argentina is given 2 quotas, 1 per each gender should they not qualify normally and a further 6 competitors, 3 per each gender will be decided by the Tripartite Commission. The remaining 56 places shall be decided by the ITF World Junior Rankings, ATP rankings, WTA rankings update on 16 July 2018. The first 12 spots per each gender will go to the top ranked athletes in the ITF World Junior Rankings. The next 10 spots per gender will go to any eligible athlete ranked in the top 450 in the ATP rankings for boys and the top 200 in the WTA rankings for girls. The 1970 Davis Cup was the 59th edition of the Davis Cup, the most important tournament between national teams in men's tennis. 31 teams entered the Europe Zone, 11 teams entered the Americas Zone, and 11 teams entered the Eastern Zone. Hong Kong made its first appearance in the tournament. Brazil defeated Canada in the Americas Inter-Zonal final, India defeated Australia in the Eastern Inter-Zonal final, and Spain and West Germany were the winners of the two Europe Zones, defeating Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union respectively. Guillermo Vilas
Guillermo Vilas (; born 17 August 1952) is an Argentine former professional tennis player. Vilas was the No. 1 of the Grand Prix seasons in 1974, 1975 and 1977, and won four Grand Slam tournaments, one year-end Masters, nine Grand Prix Super Series titles and a total of 62 ATP titles.
