Bruiser (album)
Bruiser is the third studio album by English band The Duke Spirit. It was released in 2011 and was produced and mixed by Andrew Scheps. "Everybody's Under Your Spell" had previously been released as the lead track of the band's ''Kusama'' EP from 2010, and "Surrender" and "Don't Wait" were released as singles with accompanying music videos. "Surrender" is featured in the soundtrack of the 2012 video game Forza Horizon, on the in-game radio station "Horizon Rocks". The Duke Spirit
The Duke Spirit are an English rock band based in London. Their sound has been seen as a melding of influences ranging from alternative rock bands such as The Jesus and Mary Chain and Spiritualized, the tremulous rock'n'roll of bands such as The Gun Club and The Patti Smith Group, to distinctive rhythmic Atlantic soul and Motown influences. Band members Liela Moss and Toby Butler also perform together in the electro-rock duo Roman Remains. History The band was formed in London in 2003 by Luke Ford (guitar), Liela Moss (vocals), Toby Butler (bass) and Dan Higgins (guitar). Andrew Scheps is an American mix engineer, recording engineer, record producer, and record label owner, based in Los Angeles and the United Kingdom. He received Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album for his work on Red Hot Chili Peppers' ''Stadium Arcadium'', Album of the Year for Adele's '' 21'', and Best Reggae Album for Ziggy Marley's ''Fly Rasta''. SONOIO is a solo project of Italian musician Alessandro Cortini, best known as the keyboardist for Nine Inch Nails' touring lineup and as a member of Modwheelmood. The name of the alternative rock/electronic project comes from the Italian phrase "sono io", which means "it's me". Richard File (born 19 November 1975) is a British composer, music producer, and vocalist best known for his work with James Lavelle as part of Unkle. Omnichord
The Omnichord is an electronic musical instrument introduced in 1981 by the Suzuki Musical Instrument Corporation. It typically features a touch plate known as "Sonic Strings", preset rhythms, auto-bass line functionality, and buttons for major, minor, and 7th chords. The most basic method of playing the instrument is to press the chord buttons and swipe the Sonic Strings with a finger in imitation of strumming a stringed instrument. The Sonic Strings may also be touched in one place to create a single note.
