''Brown & Orange'' is an album by the Australian folk comedian The Bedroom Philosopher (Justin Heazlewood) released in February 2009. It was produced by Chris Scallan, Martin "Moose" Lubran and Ken Heazlewood. It is the second album by The Bedroom Philosopher, following ''In Bed with My Doona'' in 2005, which contained his radio hit " I'm So Post Modern", the most popular independently released Australian single in 2005, reaching number 72 in the following year's Triple J Hottest 100. The music video for the album's second single, " Wow Wow's Song", acquired 20,000 plays on YouTube within its first five days of release and garnered many impressive statistics in Australia, New Zealand and globally. Justin Marcus Heazlewood, the Bedroom Philosopher, is an Australian author, songwriter and performer. He has released several albums of musical comedy, toured Australia extensively, been nominated for an ARIA Award and published books about his experiences in the entertainment industry. Recording career 2002–2005 ''Living on the Edge of My Bed'' The Bedroom Philosopher began in 2002, Heazlewood submitted a three-minute radio piece for the ABC Heywire competition about his passion for folk music, which led to him becoming a regular guest on Triple J's ''The Morning Show''. ''In Bed With My Doona'' is the second album by Australian comedian/musician The Bedroom Philosopher and is a reference to the Madonna film '' Madonna: Truth or Dare'' which was known in some countries as ''In Bed with Madonna''. It was released on Nan and Pop Records in 2005 (see 2005 in music). The release was taken strongly by Triple J's audience, with the first single "I'm So Postmodern" reaching number 72 in the Hottest 100. Follow-up singles included "Folkstar" and "Golden Gaytime", a song about the ice cream bar of the same name. Martin Lubran
Hunters & Collectors are an Australian rock band formed in 1981. Fronted by founding mainstay, singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Seymour, they developed a blend of pub rock and art-funk. Other mainstays are John Archer on bass guitar, Doug Falconer on drums and percussion. Soon after forming they were joined by Jack Howard on trumpet and keyboards, Jeremy Smith on French horn, guitars and keyboards, and Michael Waters on trombone and keyboards. The Triple J Hottest 100 is an annual music listener poll hosted by the publicly-funded, national Australian youth radio station, Triple J. Members of the public are invited to vote for their favourite Australian and alternative music of the year in an online poll conducted two weeks prior to the new year. From 1989 to 2018, the 100 most popular songs were counted down from 12 pm on Australia Day. Since then, the countdown has been held on the fourth weekend of January, due to increasing controversy about Australia Day regarding its marking of the colonisation of Australia and dispossession of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land.
