Breil/Brigels
Breil/Brigels is a municipality in the Surselva Region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. On 1 January 2018 the former municipalities of Andiast and Waltensburg/Vuorz merged into the municipality of Breil/Brigels. The name of the municipality comes from the word ''brigilo'', meaning ''little town''. The name comes from the village name in the two local languages. In Romansh the name is while in German it is . History While the area was settled in the late Roman era or Early Middle Ages, Breil/Brigels is first mentioned in 765 as ''in Bregelo'' when the Bishop of Chur granted a farm in Breil/Brigels to Disentis Abbey. Shortly thereafter, the Abbey established a church and fortification on St. Eusebius' hill near the village. The village church of S. Maria and the chapel of S. Sievi (''Chaplutta Son Sievi'') both came under control of the Abbey in 1185 at the order of the Pope. Breil, Maine-et-Loire
Breil () is a former commune in the Maine-et-Loire department in western France. On 15 December 2016, it was merged into the new commune Noyant-Villages.Arrêté préfectoral

Sights

Breil is most famous for its Chateau in the Parc du Lathan, where a major Fête de la Chasse (Hunting Fair) is held each August 15. Breil is near the Lac de Rillé, a lake stretching from Rillé to Gué Morin,a hamlet in Breil, where the River Lathan was dammed in 1978 principally for irrigating the valley of the Authion.

Breil-sur-Roya
Breil-sur-Roya (, literally ''Breil on Roya''; it, Breglio sul Roia or simply ''Breglio''; lij, Breggio; oc, Brelh de Ròia) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France. Breil is an Italian luxury company of Binda Group. Its products include watches, jewels, eyewear, fragrances, and leather accessories. History This brand started in Milan in 1939, named after a Swiss municipality. In 1942, the first Breil wristwatch was introduced. Initially, the company made a line of alarm clocks and a few years later, wristwatches too. In 1956, the producer Innocente Binda made an unusual promotional action: he dropped some watches from his production from the Eiffel Tower in Paris to show that after a flight of 302 meters, his watches proved to have been fully functional. Joseph Carl Breil
Joseph Carl Breil (29 June 1870 – 23 January 1926) was an American lyric tenor, stage director, composer and conductor. He was one of the earliest American composers to compose specific music for motion pictures. His first film was ''Les amours de la reine Élisabeth'' (1912) starring Sarah Bernhardt. He later composed and arranged scores for several other early motion pictures, including such epics as D. W. Griffith's ''The Birth of a Nation'' (1915) and ''Intolerance'' (1916), as well as scoring the preview version of ''The Phantom of the Opera'' (1925), a score that is now lost. His love theme for "Birth of a Nation", titled "The Perfect Song", was published by Chappell & Co. in an arrangement for voice and keyboard.
