Brahim (Belgian Singer)
Brahim Attaeb better known by his stage name and mononym Brahim (born in Torhout, Belgium on 24 February 1984), is a Belgian R&B singer and presenter of Morocco, Moroccan descent. Music career Brahim became famous when he participated in Belgian Idool 2003, first inaugural season of the ''Idool (TV series), Idool'' series, the Belgian Flanders version of the Idol (TV series), Idol series. He finished fourth overall. Despite this loss, he still got a record deal as his song "Turn the Music Up" hit the top of the Ultratop 50 Flanders Singles Chart, and the follow-up "I Wanna Be" also reached #8. He gained fame in Morocco through a cover of "Didi (song)#Brahim version, Didi", an English language remake of Khaled (musician), Cheb Khaled's song. The single was successful in Belgium reaching #10 on Ultratop 50 charts. Belle Perez
Maribel Pérez (born 29 January 1976), best known by her stage name Belle Perez, is a Belgian-Spanish musician and songwriter. Born in Neerpelt to Spanish parents as María Isabelle Pérez Cerezo, the Flemish singer was discovered for her musical talents by Patrick Renier at a local talent show in 1997 at the age of 21. In 1999 she participated in the Belgian preselections of the Eurovision Song Contest and from then on Belle's career in music took off. She started off in pop music but in 2002 she changed her style to Latino/pop and went live on stage with her own "Baila Perez"-band. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Eén (stylized as één; en, "one") is a public Dutch-language TV station in Belgium, owned by the VRT, which also owns Ketnet, Canvas and several radio stations. Ishtar is a Belgian (Flanders, Flemish) folk music, folk band who represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "O Julissi", sung in an Constructed language, imaginary language. They competed in the first semi-final on 20 May 2008. O Julissi "O Julissi" is a song by Ishtar. The band's sitclaims that the song is in an imaginary language. There is, however, a certain similarity to Ukrainian language, Ukrainian; in particular, the first line is fully understandable (Ukrainian "Ой у лісі на ялині", meaning "Oh, in the forest on a spruce").
