Demet Bozkurt (born February 20, 1996) is a Turkish Association football, footballer. She was part of the Turkey women's national under-19 football team in 2015. Private life Demet Bozkurt was born in Sarıyer district of Istanbul Province, Turkey on February 20, 1996. Through her footballer career, she was able to enter the Marmara University to study physical education. Playing career Club Bozkurt's curiosity for playing football started at a young age. Her mother told her that she might not continue to play football unless she received her school' good marks. She worked hard, and received good marks. Her mother took her then for registration at the local sports club. Bozkurt obtained her license from Kireçburnu Spor in her hometown on October 1, 2010. Emine Bozkurt (born 9 August 1967) is a Dutch politician of Turkish descent and Member of the European Parliament between 2004 and 2014. She is a member of the Dutch Labour Party, which is part of the Party of European Socialists. In the European Parliament she was a member of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality. Gizem Bozkurt (born 23 May 1993) is a Turkish female swimmer competing in freestyle and mostly in the medley as well as relay events. Currently, she is in the prep class of Özyeğin University in Istanbul. A member of Fenerbahçe Swimming in Istanbul, she is holder of many national records in various medlay and relay swimming disciplines. She competed at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics held in Singapore. Participated in three events, her best result was the eighth place in 200m individual medley, for which she set also a new national record. She won a bronze medal in 4 × 100 m freestyle relay at the 2013 Mediterranean Games setting also a national record with her teammates in Mersin, Turkey. Mahmut Esat Bozkurt (1892 – 21 December 1943) was a Turkish people, Turkish jurist, politician, government minister and academic. His birth name was Mahmut Esat. But after the adaptation of the Turkish Surname Law in 1934, he chose the surname ''Bozkurt'' in remembrance of the Grey wolf (mythology), Grey Wolf, a symbol for Turkdom.
