Boo Castle
Boo Castle () is a castle in Hallsberg Municipality, Örebro County, Sweden. History Upon the death of Baron Gustaf Kruus and his sister Anna in 1692, the land surrounding Boo was inherited by the daughter of Anna Kruus and her husband Baron Claes Hermansson Fleming af Liebelitz, Anna Flemming (1683–1737). Anna went on to marry Baron Hugo Johan Hamilton, a Swedish military officer, in 1723. Hamilton laid the foundations of the "fideikommiss" of Boo Estate (from the Latin ''fideicommissum,'' which is a Swedish legal structure for the inheritance of great estates, which means the estate does not have to be split evenly between the heirs, but the entirety can be inherited by one heir), which is still in place today, and one of the few remaining in Sweden. Hallsberg Municipality () is a municipality in Örebro County in central Sweden. Its seat is located in the town of Hallsberg, which is the main railway hub for the central Swedish interior. The present municipality was created in 1971 when the market town (''köping'') of Hallsberg was amalgamated with adjacent municipalities. Johan Fredrik Åbom (30 July 1817 - April 20, 1900) was a Sweden, Swedish architect. Biography Åbom was born in the parish of Katarina in Stockholm County, Sweden. He was a student at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm at the same time as Fredrik Wilhelm Scholander (1816–1881). Prior to this, he was a bricklayer apprentice and student at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Apart from a short study tour to Germany in 1852, he followed the traditional timeline for scientific publication. After the Royal Art Academy and until 1882, he was working at the Swedish government administration of state buildings (''Överintendentsämbetet''). Ivar Justus Tengbom (April 7, 1878 – August 6, 1968) was a Sweden, Swedish architect and one of the best-known representatives of the Swedish neo-classical architecture of the 1910s and 1920s. Tengbom was born in Vireda in Jönköping County, studied at the Chalmers University of Technology, Chalmers School of Technology in Gothenburg 1894-1898, at the architecture school of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts in Stockholm 1898-1901 (being awarded the so-called Royal Medal) and abroad 1905-1906. He worked 1906-1912 with Ernst Torulf in Stockholm and Gothenburg 1906-1912, and on his own from 1912 in Stockholm.
