Johan Fredrik Åbom
Johan Fredrik Åbom (30 July 1817 - April 20, 1900) was a Swedish architect. Biography Åbom was born in the parish of Katarina in Stockholm County, Sweden. He was a student at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm at the same time as Fredrik Wilhelm Scholander (1816–1881). Prior to this, he was a bricklayer apprentice and student at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Apart from a short study tour to Germany in 1852, he followed the traditional timeline for scientific publication. After the Royal Art Academy and until 1882, he was working at the Swedish government administration of state buildings (''Överintendentsämbetet''). During the years 1843–1853, he was working as an architect for prison management. He had the entire country as sphere of activity, with both public - and private assignments. Gamla stan (, "The Old Town"), until 1980 officially Staden mellan broarna ("The Town between the Bridges"), is the old town of Stockholm, Sweden. Gamla stan consists primarily of the island Stadsholmen. Officially, but not colloquially, Gamla stan includes the surrounding islets Riddarholmen, Helgeandsholmen and Strömsborg. Stockholms Enskilda Bank, sometimes called Enskilda banken or SEB, was a Swedish bank, founded in 1856 by André Oscar Wallenberg as Stockholm's first private bank. In 1857, Stockholms Enskilda Bank began to employ women, claiming to be the first bank to do. Stockholms Enskilda Bank was managed by the Wallenberg family who, thanks to the bank, built a unique position in Swedish business. Mälartorget ( sv, Square of Mälaren) is a public square in Gamla stan, the old town in central Stockholm, Sweden, named after its location on the western waterfront of the old town facing Lake Mälaren. Connected to the square are the streets and alleys Munkbrogatan, Schönfeldts Gränd, Tyska Brinken, and Lejonstedts Gränd, while the traffic route Munkbroleden separates it from the quay. Hälleforsnäs is a locality in Flen Municipality, Södermanland County, Sweden with approximately 2000 inhabitants in 2020. A small village in the municipality of Flen, it is 15 km (9 miles) from Flen, 32 km (20 miles) from Eskilstuna, 40 km (25 miles) from Katrineholm and 120 km (75 mi) south-west of Stockholm. This village was an industrial center until the foundry it was built around ceased operations after 350 years in the early 1990s. The foundry is now a cultural center and a hub of activity.
