Bofrost Cup On Ice
The Bofrost Cup on Ice (the Fujifilm Trophy (1986–1987), the Nations Cup (1989–1997), the Sparkassen Cup on Ice (1998–2001)) was a senior international figure skating competition held in Germany from 1986 to 2004. The event adopted its final name in 2002. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Figure Skating
Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. It was the first winter sport to be included in the Olympic Games, when contested at the 1908 Olympics in London. The Olympic disciplines are men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance; the four individual disciplines are also combined into a team event, first included in the Winter Olympics in 2014. Viktor Petrenko
Viktor Vasyliovych Petrenko ( uk, Віктор Васильович Петренко; born 27 June 1969) is a Ukrainian former competitive figure skater who represented the Soviet Union, the Unified Team, and Ukraine during his career. He is the 1992 Olympic Champion for the Unified Team. Petrenko became the first flagbearer for Ukraine. Petrenko moved to the United States in 1994 with his family and associates, living first in Simbury, Connecticut, the site of an international skating center. Vyacheslav Vasylovych Zahorodnyuk ( uk, В'ячеслав Васильович Загороднюк, born 11 August 1972) is a Ukrainian former competitive figure skater. He represented the USSR until its dissolution and then represented Ukraine. He is the 1994 World bronze medalist, 1996 European champion, and 1989 World Junior champion. Personal life Zahorodnyuk was born on 11 August 1972 in Odessa, Ukrainian SSR. He married Ukrainian ice dancer Olga Mudrak in 1994. They have a son, Maxim (born August 2005), and a daughter, Alina (born in February 2009). Career Zahorodnyuk was initially coached by Galina Zmievskaya. Alexei Yevgenyevich Urmanov (; born 17 November 1973) is a Russian figure skating coach and former competitor. He is the 1994 Olympic champion, the 1993 World bronze medalist, the 1997 European champion, the 1995–96 Champions Series Final champion, a four-time Russian national champion, and the 1992 Soviet national champion. Mark Mitchell (born May 2, 1968) is an American retired competitive figure skater. He is a three-time medalist at the United States Figure Skating Championships and placed as high as fourth at the World Figure Skating Championships (in 1993). He currently works as a coach and choreographer in Boston with Peter Johansson. Biography Skating career Mitchell was the 1986 U.S. Junior National Champion. Todd James Eldredge (born August 28, 1971) is an American former competitive figure skater. He is the 1996 World champion, a six-time U.S. national champion (1990, 1991, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2002), a three-time Olympian (1992, 1998, 2002), and a six-time World medalist.
