Robert Chunga better known by his stage name, Bobby East, is a Zambian rapper, singer and business man. Career In 2010, Bobby East recorded his first song. It swiftly became a hit and he eventually rose to fame. He is currently signed to Slap Dee's record label, XYZ. In 2016, Bobby was elected as the label's CEO. Slapdee
Mwila Musonda (born April 27, 1987), known professionally as Slapdee, is a Zambian African hip hop, hip hop and rap musician. Having won multiple awards since his debut in 2006, he is often regarded one of the pioneers of Zambian hip-hop. Early life Slapdee was raised by his aunt, after losing his parents and brother. Because of his aunt’s career, he moved around often, even attending schools in Botswana and South Africa. During his high school years, Slapdee returned to Zambia where he befriended future musician Hamoba, and the two started making music together. He has helped bring to light many upcoming artists including Xaven The Kopala Queen Music career His musical career began in 2006 when he released "Asembe Isebenza". After a while it got identified by promoter Sync. He released a debut album “Asembe isebenza” and gained radio hype and generated a buzz in the Hip-hop underground. Mukubesa Mundia (born September 28, 1982), better known by his stage name Petersen Zagaze is a Zambian Reggae and Afro Dancehall recording artist and record producer from Lusaka, Zambia. Kantu
Kantu or k'antu is an ancient style of music and circle dance which is widespread since incaic or even preincaic epoch on the Peruvian and Bolivian highlands. Modern versions of this style still use the Quechua or Aymara language and the siku (ceremonial panpipe). Some musicologists argue that the name for this style comes from the Spanish word 'canto' meaning 'song.' Linguists might argue that the name comes from the Quechua word 'k'antu' which is a widely known flower in Bolivia. Also, ''k'antu'' may be a word of extinct Puquina language with unknown meaning. Dancing K'antu is a circle dance, but some women and men also dance in pairs inside or outside of the circle. Mulaza Kaira (born 10 October 1984), also known by the stage names Macky II, Macky 2, MK Macky 2, DJ Bugar, and Flava Boy, is a Zambian Multi-Award winning hip hop musician, singer, Songwriter and producer. He is known for participating in the ninth season of ''Big Brother Africa'', where he placed third in the competition. Kaira is from Chingola, Zambia and runs the Macky 2 Hope Foundation, which supports orphans and vulnerable children. Music career Kaira began showing an interest in music in his childhood after attending the Catholic church in Ndola. In 2011 he left home to travel to Lusaka, where he released his album ''Ndimupondo'' under the Digital X label with Alpha Entertainment and J-Kayo.
