Blažov (Javorina)
Blažov (; ) was a municipality (village) in Slovakia. It was one of the villages that ceased to exist in the course of the creation of the municipality-military area Javorina on their territory in 1953. Javorina
Javorina was a military district in the Kežmarok District in northern Slovakia, in the Levoča Hills. Its area is 316.24 km2 and has no permanent population. History The military district was created in 1952. It was created from the whole cadastral area of four villages ( Blažov, Dvorce, Ruskinovce, Ľubické Kúpeľe) and from partial cadastral area of another 22 villages. The district was dissolved in 2011. Mukacheve
Mukachevo (, ; , ; see name section) is a city in Zakarpattia Oblast, western Ukraine. It is situated in the valley of the Latorica River and serves as the administrative center of Mukachevo Raion. The city is a rail terminus and highway junction, and has beer, wine, tobacco, food, textile, timber, and furniture industries. Havryil Blazhovskyi
Havryil Heorhiy Blazhovskyi, O.S.B.M. (born as Juraj Mankovič; , , , c. 1705 – 20 December 1742) was the bishop of the Vicariate Apostolic for the Ruthenians in Mukacheve from 1738 to his death in 1742. Life Heorhiy Blazhovskyi was born on about 1705 in the village of Blažov, from which he took his surname (which originally was ''Mankovič''). He studied philosophy in Košice and then in the Jesuit college of Trnava. At the end of his studies, he was ordained secular priest in 1729 by Bishop Hennadiy Bizantsiy and assigned to the Vicariate Apostolic of Mukacheve. At the death of his predecessor, he was appointed, on 14 January 1738 as general vicar by the Latin bishop of Eger. He received the titular see of Agnus on 12 September 1738 and was consecrated bishop on 27 December 1738 by the Metropolitan of Kiev and all Rus', Atanasiy Sheptytskyi in Lviv. Sabinov District
Sabinov District (''okres Sabinov'') is a district in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia. It lies on the highlands of Šarišská vrchovina. The district had been established in 1923 and from 1996 exists in its present borders. Food, pharmaceutical and clothing industry and located foremost in its towns and Šarišské Michaľany. The Prešov Region (, ; ), also Priashiv Region (, ), is one of the eight Slovak administrative regions and consists of 13 districts (okresy) and 666 municipalities, 23 of which have town status.
