Blake Schilb
Blake Schilb (born December 23, 1983) is an American-born naturalized Czech former professional basketball player who last played for USK Praha of the Czech NBL. Standing , he plays the point forward position. College career Prior to Loyola University, Schilb was a postgraduate student at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, during the 2002-2003 academic year. A 6'7" (201 cm) guard (during his college days), Schilb played at Loyola University Chicago, with the Loyola Ramblers, from 2003 to 2007. In 2006, he became Loyola's first player since Alfredrick Hughes in 1985 to earn Associated Press All-American honors after averaging 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He graduated from Loyola as the school's fourth all-time leading scorer (1,879 points) and all-time leader in three-point field goals (204). Loyola Ramblers Men's Basketball
The Loyola Ramblers men's basketball team represents Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. The Ramblers participate as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Ramblers joined the Missouri Valley Conference from 2013 to 2022, ending a 34-season tenure as charter members of the Horizon League. In 1963, Loyola won the 1963 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament (then the "NCAA University Division") men's basketball national championship under the leadership of All-American Jerry Harkness, defeating two-time defending champion 1962–63 Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball team, Cincinnati 60–58 in overtime in the 1963 NCAA University Division Basketball Championship Game, title game. The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Alfredrick Hughes
Alfredrick Hughes (born July 19, 1962) is a retired American professional basketball player who was selected by the San Antonio Spurs in the first round (14th pick overall) in the 1985 NBA draft. Loyola career After graduating from Chicago's Robeson High School, Hughes played college basketball at Loyola Chicago, where the 6'5" (1.96 m) shooting guard averaged 17.0 points per game as a freshman, 25.7 as a sophomore, 27.6 as a junior, and 26.3 as a senior. Point Forward
Point forward is a nontraditional position in basketball, with a small forward—or sometimes a power forward or combo forward—adding the responsibilities of point guard to their play.
