Bjørøya
Bjørøya is an island in the Folda sea, just south of the Namsenfjorden in the municipality of Flatanger in Trøndelag county, Norway. The island lies about east of the island of Villa and about north of the island of Lauvøya. The island has several large peat bogs as well as a farm. Ellingråsa Lighthouse is located on the northwest part of the island. There island has had no permanent residents since the 1970s. Flatanger is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Trøndelag Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Namdalen Districts of Norway, region. Villa, Norway
Villa is an island in the municipality of Flatanger in Trøndelag county, Norway. The island lies in the Folda sea about northwest of the village of Lauvsnes on the mainland and about west of the island of Bjørøya. The Villa Lighthouse is located on the western part of the island. The island had some permanent residents until the 1960s, but now it is uninhabited. Large parts of the island consists of rocky mountains and rocks, but it also has bogs and heather areas and offers a rich flora, with some rare plants such as the yellow water-lily. Ellingråsa Lighthouse
Ellingråsa Lighthouse ( no, Ellingråsa fyrstasjon) is a lighthouse that is located on the island of Bjørøya in the Folda sea in the municipality of Flatanger in Trøndelag county, Norway. The lighthouse was completed in 1888 to replace the old Villa Lighthouse which closed in 1890. Ellingråsa Lighthouse was automated in 1959. The tall tower emits a white, red or green light (depending on direction), flashing twice every five seconds. The light can be seen for up to away. Trøndelag
Trøndelag (; sma, Trööndelage) is a county in the central part of Norway. It was created in 1687, then named Trondhjem County ( no, Trondhjems Amt); in 1804 the county was split into Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag by the King of Denmark-Norway, and the counties were reunited in 2018 after a vote of the two counties in 2016. Folda, Trøndelag
Folda or Folla is a firth and a fjord in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located within the municipalities of Flatanger, Namsos, and Nærøysund. The large wide firth is about long which then narrows into a fjord which is about long. The narrower fjord part of Folda is often called the ''Foldfjorden'' or ''Innerfolda''. Most of the fjord is very narrow, some places with steep cliffs. It has the largest length to width factor among Norway's fjords. The fjord is crossed by the Norwegian County Road 17 road using the Folda Bridge at the village of Foldereid. Spruce forests cover most areas around the fjord. Namsenfjorden
The Namsenfjorden or Namsfjorden is a fjord in Trøndelag county, Norway. The long fjord flows along the border between the municipalities of Namsos and Flatanger. It runs southeast from the Folda firth, between the mainland in the south and the island of Otterøya in the north, past the island of Hoddøya, to the Namsen river estuary in the town of Namsos. The banks of the fjord are mostly wooded and not very high. Near the town of Namsos, the Løgnin fjord arm branches to the south all the way to the village of Sjøåsen in Namsos. Other villages along the fjord include Statland, Tøttdalen, Skomsvoll, Bangsund, and Spillum. Lauvøya, Flatanger
Lauvøya (sometimes ''Løvøya'') is an island in the municipality of Flatanger in Trøndelag county, Norway. The island sits just off the mainland coast, across from the village of Lauvsnes. The main church for northern Flatanger, Løvøy Church, is located on the island. The island has been connected to the mainland by a bridge since 1990.
