Avian Brain
In the neuroanatomy of animals, an avian pallium is the dorsal telencephalon of a bird, bird's brain. The subpallium is the ventral telencephalon. The pallium (neuroanatomy), pallium of bird, avian species tends to be relatively large, comprising ~75% of the telencephalic volume. Birds have a unique pallial structure known as the hyperpallium, once called the ''hyperstriatum''. A 2002 conference at Duke University (Avian Brain Nomenclature Consortium) established a standard nomenclature for describing the avian pallium as follows: *Pallium (neuroanatomy), Pallium **piriform cortex, pyriform cortex **olfactory bulb **hippocampus **corticoid area **hyperpallium ***apicale ***intercalatum ***densocellulare **mesopallium ***dorsale ***ventrale **nidopallium ***field L2 ***entopallium ***basorostralis **arcopallium **amygdaloid complex ***posterior amygdala ***nucleus taeniae *Subpallium **striatum ***lateral (anatomy), lateral ***medial (anatomy), medial **pallidum ***globus pallidu ...

Bird Intelligence
The difficulty of defining or measuring intelligence in non-human animals makes the subject difficult to study scientifically in birds. In general, birds have relatively large brains compared to their head size. The visual and auditory senses are well developed in most species, though the tactile and olfactory senses are well realized only in a few groups. Birds communicate using visual signals as well as through the use of calls and song. The testing of intelligence in birds is therefore usually based on studying responses to sensory stimuli. The corvids ( ravens, crows, jays, magpies, etc.) and psittacines (parrots, macaws, and cockatoos) are often considered the most intelligent birds, and are among the most intelligent animals in general. Pigeons, finches, domestic fowl, and birds of prey have also been common subjects of intelligence studies. Studies Bird intelligence has been studied through several attributes and abilities. Many of these studies have been on birds such ...

Stupid Person
Stupidity is a lack of intelligence, understanding, reason, or wit. It may be innate, assumed or reactive. The word ''stupid'' comes from the Latin word ''stupere''. Stupid characters are often used for comedy in fictional stories. Walter B. Pitkin called stupidity "evil", but in a more Romantic spirit William Blake and Carl Jung believed stupidity can be the mother of wisdom. Etymology The root word ''stupid'', which can serve as an adjective or noun, comes from the Latin verb ''stupere'', for being numb or astonished, and is related to ''stupor''. In Roman culture, the ''stupidus'' was the professional fall guy in the theatrical mimes. According to the online Merriam-Webster dictionary, the words "stupid" and "stupidity" entered the English language in 1541. Since then, stupidity has taken place along with "fool," " idiot," " dumb," " moron," and related concepts as a pejorative for misdeeds, whether purposeful or accidental, due to absence of mental capacity.
