Billy Sheehan (Gaelic Footballer)
Billy Sheehan (born 18 December 1981) is a Gaelic football manager and former player. He lined out with two county teams: Kerry and Laois. He was manager of the Laois county team from 2021 until 2023. Schools During his secondary school days in Tralee CBS he won a Frewen Cup title. Club He began his career with the Austin Stacks club in Tralee. He lined out in the 2001 Kerry Senior Football Championship loss to An Ghaeltacht. He would go on to win a Kerry Club Football Championship in 2003 with the Tralee side. While a UCD student, Billy transferred to the Emo club in Laois in 2004. He helped them to a Laois All-County Football League Division 1 title in 2005 before adding a Laois Intermediate Football Championship in 2012. In 2015 he joined Dublin side St Jude's. He was part of the St Jude's team that reached the 2018 Dublin Senior Football Championship final but lost out to Kilmacud Crokes. Austin Stacks
Austin Stacks is a hurling and Gaelic football club based in Tralee in County Kerry, Ireland. Founded in 1917, the club has more All-Ireland Senior Football Championship medals and GAA All-Stars than any other Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in Ireland. 2018 Dublin Senior Football Championship
The 2018 Dublin Senior Football Championship was the 132nd edition of Dublin GAA's premier Gaelic football tournament for senior clubs in County Dublin, Ireland. 31 teams participate (16 in Senior 1 and 15 in Senior 2), with the winner of Senior 1 representing Dublin in the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship. The draw for the group stages of the championship were made on 21 March 2018. No team was promoted from the 2017 I.F.C. due to the rule that no reserve side who wins the I.F.C. St Vincents GAA
St Vincents is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Marino, on the northside of Dublin, Ireland. The club was founded in 1931 in Marino, instrumental in the founding of the club were Rev Dr William Fitzpatrick (St Vincent de Paul Church, Marino) and Bro. Ernest Fitzgerald (Scoil Mhuire CBS, Marino). Although its club grounds were in Raheny for a number of years, it moved to its home back into Marino in 1987. St Vincents merged with Marino Camogie Club in 1997 to form the St Vincents Hurling, Football and Camogie Club. UCD GAA or University College Dublin Gaelic Athletic Association club is a Dublin based Gaelic games club in University College Dublin. The UCD hurling club was founded in 1900 and boasted the mottos "Ad Astra" and "Cothrom Féinne". The first team was an amalgamation of students from UCD and Cecilia St. Although UCD had been playing Gaelic football unofficially since 1900, the official club history began in the season of 1911/1912. The All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament which began in season 1970–71. It is the top-tier competition for the senior football clubs of Ireland and London. The current champions are Kilcoo of Down who defeated Kilmacud Crokes of Dublin on 12 February 2022 to win their first title. The current trophy is the Andy Merrigan Cup, named after a footballer who played for Castletown Liam Mellows and Wexford who died as a result of a farm accident at the height of his playing career. Doonbeg GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from the village of Doonbeg in County Clare, Ireland. The club only plays gaelic football, and have won the Clare Senior Football Championship on eighteen occasions. They are the 2010 champions, having defeated Liscannor in the final by 0-11 to 0-7. Munster Senior Club Football Championship
The Munster Senior Club Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Football Senior Club Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition for the champion clubs of each county. It has been organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1964. The series of games are played during the autumn and winter months with the final usually being played in late November. The prize for the winning team is the O'Connor Cup. UCC is a football and hurling club associated with University College Cork. UCC teams play in the Cork Senior Football Championship and Cork Senior Hurling Championship as well as the two main third-level competitions namely the Sigerson Cup in football, the Fitzgibbon Cup in hurling and the Ashbourne Cup in camogie.
