Billy Dib
Bilal Dib (born 17 August 1985), known as Billy Dib, is an Australian professional boxer. He held the IBF featherweight title from 2011 to 2013, and the IBO super-featherweight title in 2008. Early years Dib was born on 17 August 1985 at Kogarah Hospital in Sydney. He has suffered from chronic asthma since birth, and he spent the first six months of his life in an incubator fighting the ailment. He took up boxing at the age of 12 to try to overcome the condition. His parents had emigrated to Australia from Lebanon, and owned a small greengrocer store in Engadine, where he grew up. Police & Community Youth Clubs (PCYC) or Police and Community Youth Clubs are a network of Australian non-profit, community organisations, founded in New South Wales. In some states such as NSW, they are constituted as an Incorporated Association. The Mission of PCYC is to get young people active in life; develop their skills, character and leadership; and prevent and reduce crime by and against young people. Davey Browne
Davey Browne, Jr (21 December 1986 – 14 September 2015) was an Australian professional boxer (22–2–1, 8 knockouts). Browne died three days after sustaining brain injuries in a boxing match against Filipino Carlo Magali (19–7–3, 9 KOs) on 11 September 2015 in Ingleburn, Australia. He was knocked out with 30 seconds left in the 12th and final round. One report had Browne winning the fight before the knockout; another report stated that Browne was in control early, but that Magali had him in trouble in the 6th round and had knocked him down in the 11th. There was speculation that Browne may have been distracted by loose tape on his gloves and taken his eyes off his opponent when the knockout punch landed. Zolani Marali (5 May 1977 – 4 February 2022) was a South African lightweight boxer. Life and career Marali was born in Eastern Cape, South Africa. Marali won a bronze medal in the flyweight category at the 1999 All-Africa Games in Johannesburg. In April 2009, he won the International Boxing Organization (IBO) superfeatherweight boxing title after defeating Gamaliel Diaz.
