Bilborough is a suburb of the city of Nottingham, England. The population of the City of Nottingham ward at the 2011 census was 16,792. St Martin of Tours' Church, Bilborough is a Grade II listed building. In the chancel is an Annunciation by Evelyn Gibbs, painted in 1946 and rediscovered in 2009 and restored. Located just off the A6002 road is Bilborough College. Bilborough College
Bilborough Sixth Form College is a sixth-form college in Nottingham, England. The college has students from across the conurbation. A third of its students come from Nottingham, another third from the surrounding county of Nottinghamshire, and a final third from Derbyshire. The majority of students will study at the college for two years. History Opened in 1957 as Bilborough Grammar School, the school became a sixth-form college in 1975 when Nottingham's education system became comprehensive. The college has grown from 635 students to 1600 full-time students enrolled to be attending the college in September 2016. The new accommodations opened officially on 21 July, 2006. Aspley, Nottingham
Aspley is a council estate and a ward of the city of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. It is located within the boundaries of Nottingham City Council. The ward is located 3 miles (4.8 km) west of Nottingham City Centre and is located only 1.6 miles west of Junction 26 of the M1. It lies south of Bulwell, west of Basford and is north of Bilborough. The principal road in the ward is the A610. At the 2001 Census the ward had a population of 15,689, increasing to 17,622 at the 2011 census. For a number of centuries the ward consisted of just a number of small settlements and was home to both Broxtowe and Aspley Hall, the latter home to the Willoughby family for a number of generations. In the early 20th century Nottingham City Council, after a number of purchase orders developed the area into a large housing estate. Strelley Estate is a post war housing estate located in the Bilborough ward in the City of Nottingham. The estate is located around from the city centre and lies west of the Broxtowe Estate, south of Nuthall, east of the Strelley Village and north of Bilborough. At the 2001 census, the estate had a population of 2,561. Facilities The Strelley Estate has a number of facilities located on Strelley Road including an Asda supermarket, The Rose Inn, a police station and a recreation ground next to the A6002 road, and there is a fish bar, a Premier convenience store and a chemist located on Flamsteed Road. Wollaton
Wollaton is a suburb and former parish in the western part of Nottingham, England. Wollaton has two Wards in the City of Nottingham (''Wollaton East and Lenton Abbey'' and ''Wollaton West'') with a total population as at the 2011 census of 24,693. It is home to Wollaton Hall with its museum, deer park, lake, walks and golf course. History The remains of Roman kilns, crematoria and coins have been found in Wollaton. The centre of Wollaton village, the original heart of the suburb, has remained relatively unchanged over the past few hundred years and is dominated by the Admiral Rodney public house and the Anglican church of St Leonard dating back to the 13th century. Bluecoat Beechdale Academy (formerly Hadden Park High School, and prior to 2001 Glaisdale Comprehensive) is an 11–16 mixed secondary school with academy status in Bilborough, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. It is part of the Archway Learning Trust. There was a £11m refurbishment by Inspired Spaces. Hadden Park High School had 10.7% absence in total (8.6% locally, 7.3% nationally) and 12.6% persistent (8.7% locally, 5.9% nationally).
